Okay. Okay. I'm gonna getting it now. It's like an almost perfect marriage between mind-mapping, whiteboarding and Note-taking like Notion, because you can open up, expand multiple Notes in the space, even layer them together in your view. Like a Minority Report type of Notion/FigJam/XMind crossover on your desktop

This is a web-based app, and the data you curate and interrelate becomes Scrintal's property, which can and probably will be used in some other AI database. So, you do the work, and someone else reaps the rewards. Plus you pay them for the privilege of using your data. Sounds like a con to me.

Can you doc a note to the side, or anywhere else so you can write in one "block" (is that the right term), while referencing the rest of the notes. A little more discussion about long-form writing would be useful.

Hi, I have a question. The pdf is embedded on board ? If yes, there is possible to pins a new card or note to a specific point of the PDF ?

I am impressed by Scrintal. It looks like the sweet spot between structure (Notion) and freedom (Obsidian). In my case, I am a writer and since I switched from Scrivener to Ulysses the only thing I miss is the corkboard view of the outline. I guess Scrintal would come in very handy for that. So far I do it with Craft, but it's not perfect.

Great video … informative clear and nicely paced. I totally agree with your assessment Scrintal does nothing that a bunch of other apps cant do between them BUT what it does is bring workable action together in a really clear simple uncluttered and productive way … ie it gets out of your way and very quickly becomes intuitive thinking tool without the leaarning curve and clutter of many other apps - good user centric design is far rarer than it should be … thankfully Scrintal has it ! :). Also the team clearly listen to ideas and suggestions to help guide direction and priorites, with the pace and quality of development being really quite impressive. .. ie when a feature is released you can be confident (based on experience so far) that it will work with few if any issues. Anyway, I am pleased to see you do such a video .. and will be watching your others. :) (please note that I have no affiliation with Scrintal in anyway other than being a subscriber - i just like to see a good product and its teaam get the visibility they deserve )

First time on your channel! Great vid. It's a hard sell without a free trial and even the obligation to pay for one year. 😉 But there is at least a 7-day cancellation policy. Tx's for the great work.

This was a surprisingly good video when it comes to selling the product, thanks 😁 I have one key question: In the part where you showed how it's possible to open and work on multiple cards at once (which is a feature I'm after - no more annoying tab hopping I'm Notion!), what happens when you close those cards? You rearranged them to be able to see and work in all of them properly, but once you close them, do they go back to their original positions as closed cards, or do you need to re-do the visual layout you already had before you opened and moved the cards around? 🤔 Of course, I'm hoping you'll tell me that they jump back to their original position 😊 But somehow I'm guessing they do not 🙁

As someone who uses Obsidian this was a great brainstorm on layouts and workflows to implement in 'canvas'. Whatever works!

I'm trying to decide between Scrintal and Milanote. If you're familiar with Milanote, how would you compare it with Scrintal in terms of workflow and how intuitive it is?

There isnt much mention of security and, most importantly, privacy. I guess privacy isnt possible when data is in the cloud (unlike obsidian)

Isnt obsidian a copy of Roam
@giovannifm9 ай бұрын
I think all apps at this point are just copying parts off one another, I'm sure Obsidian did the same. The canvas is very similar, although, I think this one is much more intuitive since they just focus on the canvas alone. The links from the cards and the way you can do tables there, it's much better. I use obsidian and not leaving it myself but I have to admit this canvas is better polished.
