I used to roll pennies all the time at my grandma's house and she would take them to the bank. To add onto that, my folks still use a kerosene heater to heat the house when it gets really really cold. And about the whole outside thing, growing up I always wanted to be outside and if I didn't go out my folks would all go sit outside and I just eventually would go join cause it was boring inside.
