Thanks very much. My mentor blacksmith sadly contracted MND before we got to scrolls and died. Your video is easy to understand and I will be using it. Thanks Again

Perfect timing! I'm finishing up a nog for scrolls. I fought with one for hours before I realized that I needed to keep the starting bits cold so they wouldn't deform...

another great video!,when you think about it it only makes sense to use a tool to make scrolls, decoration etc;. you would think itd be "traditional" to form all scrolls by eye but some people would be surprised how much the eye can lie....lol i didnt mean for that to rhyme.im going to be on the look out for flat bar!!!!

Thanks for the info, I was in the process of making some scroll forms when I ran into your video, I actually welded an extension to widen the center of my scroll form , Instead of drawing it out wider ,My polish heritage is shining through lol !!

I have tried this several times. I keep getting flats and having to start over. The more I do the better they are comming out, so I think it is an experience thing.

Gary, I ran across a video on KZbin or a man making scrolls, two at a time. The jig was particularly interesting. Maybe you could check it out and maybe do a video on making and using the jig? Making Scrolls Two at a Time with Kheir Aker

I just weld two short bits of round bar round bar onto a bigger bit of round bar. Magnetic squares are adequate to hold the work. Not pretty, but they work.
