No need to paint the white dot on the eye. Take a 1/4" square stick of aspen and make a point in a pencil sharpener. Drill a small hole in the eye and glue the point of the aspen stick in the hole. When the glue is dry cut off the stick and sand smooth. The result is a perfect white dot.
