I've been to this musical in 1996, a week before Christmas. We loved it. When I got back home, in the Netherlands, I send a Christmas card to mr Newley and the rest of the cast and crew thanking them for this wonderful ahow and evening. Mr Newkey had send a card back with a lovely message, that my words really made his day. That made me happy. Not long after that he passed away. I'm glad he had this succes before he went to heaven. Thank you Mr Newley and the rest of the cast and crew for this wonderful experience ❤️😊

I was one of the followspots operators on this show, i was the one above the set. Loved working on this and so glad I worked with Mr Newley before he passed away.

So lovely to see this. I was one of the original cast members when the show first opened in Birmingham. Also probably one of the youngest at the time too. I've not seen any footage from back then so lovely to see this and remind me just how wonderful this show was to be part of 😊

I remember buying tickets as a Christmas present for my parents. This was at the Alexandra theatre in Birmingham, so they would have watched your performance. They really enjoyed the show. So lovely to find this on KZbin ☺

I saw the show with Newley and Stratford Johns. It was remarkable...truly remarkable. He needn't have worried the show was a huge success and a defining moment in his later career...He was a great, great star and we love Tony Newley for all of the joy he brought us..xx

I was lucky enough to see this. A small notice (I think on the back page of the Evening Standard), offering tickets for £8.00 for the preview! it was a magical evening and Anthony Newly was fantastic.

I believe there was only one production of this in the US. When the pestilence is gone , , , this is one show that needs to come to Broadwya

On the one hand, I'm glad to see this being revived...on the other hand I absolutely hate that they re-wrote 'I Hate People' (one of the best songs in the production) to the very watered down 'I Hate Christmas'.
