I cried, literally cried my first day of college. I hated it, I was in a new state, a new region, I was in complete culture shock. I was ready to quit. After I composed myself in the bathroom, my dorm mate said, "Hey man, the new episode of scrubs is on tonight, a bunch of us are going to watch it on the 75 inch in the Rec-center, You wanna come with?" This show saved me. I met so many people there who felt the same way as me. Some even had the previous seasons on DVD. I binged them on my portable dvd player lol. I am a high school teacher now, with a wife and daughter. We registered her for pre-school yesterday, and my dorm mate was my best man at our wedding. Thank you Scrubs.

@@nikolaslackner6365 well acting in a scene is different to seeing the final product and also hearing the music probably brought out some genuine reactions.
@vedantshah94803 жыл бұрын
@@CommanderSuberox yeah, all the scenes are filmed separately and there's breaks/pauses in filming too. They don't film the scenes one after another in the order that they appear. There's a good chance this was Zach's first time seeing the edited montage with the music, and that's why I believe the emotion he shows in the scene is genuine. He played this character for a long time and after 8 years I'm sure he was very emotionally attached and invested in JD. JD wasn't just another role to him at this point, it was his role, he owned it, and JD had become a big part of who he was as an actor. Also remember that they thought this was the ending, that's why it was titled 'My Finale' they didn't know that there was going to be a season 9. This was Zach Braff saying good bye to Scrubs.
@shugo200613 жыл бұрын
I love the fact that throughout the series, JD's fantasies all end with a white flash, showing that it is a daydream and nothing more, but with this last daydream, there was no flash, signifying that it isn't just a fantasy that it is actually what their future holds

What a perfect ending. The real journey of Scrubs was JD's path from an anxious dork to a respected doctor. Season 1 JD was a nervous wreck that didn't know how to survive and never would've made it without his friends. By Season 8 he's a respected doctor, a beloved friend, in a committed relationship, and widely regarded as one of the greatest doctors any of his colleagues have ever known. That incredible journey was just so amazing to watch and capped off beautifully with this final montage, letting us all know that as good as we've had it, the best was yet to come. And nobody mention Season 9.

I'm one of the few who actually loved the way HIMYM ended. The whole show had been about how much he loved Robin, and the mother played such a little part in the show. A week before the finale I told a friend of mine that I was convinced he'd end up with Robin, and that it would be a perfect way to end the show. I knew they'd kill her off or have Ted divorce her. Awesome ending. Scrubs did it better though.
@Kuonluw9 жыл бұрын
Rune Ytterland HIMYM's ending is bad. Not because of the message behind it, because of the way it was done. The ending is completely rushed, it took around 20episodes from the last season to build up how Ted is getting past Robin then suddenly in only one episode we see : Robin & Barney break up, the mother dying, Barney finally getting his shit together and finally Ted getting back with Robin. It was very poorly constructed, everything is happening way too fast for the viewers, it seems completely unreal. Maybe they were going for the "WOW" factor but unfortunately it didn't work as good as they thought.
@frenchydawg9 жыл бұрын
Rune Ytterland I predicted that too. doesnt make it a good ending though. Thats the problem when you reveal the ending in the first episode. theres no suspense as to whether ted will get married or not. the last 2 seasons were virtually unwatchable

Grew up with this show. And now, as I graduate from college in 4 days, I can't help thinking of this finale. THe odds were stacked against me. I had very little money, no support from friends and family, and more. And after 5 long years, the day after I turn 22, I will be graduating with not too much debt, and surrounded by the greatest group of friends I've ever met. We're social work majors. Our senior year is one long internship with a few classes, and these past 2 years, WE have been each others family. Many of us are all about to seperate, and the chances of my entire group being together again in this life is very slim. So, I'm enjoying these last few days together. I honestly think this Finale is what made me start to not take people and experiences for granted. Thanks, Scrubs.

The story of Dr John Dorian. Having him be the only one on the set at the end shows how everything revolved around him, and it won't be the same without him. So long, John Dorian.

i dont cry, ever, but every time i see this episode a tear comes to my eye and im not ashamed to admit it. this is hands down the best show and best finale ever. this song was the perfect way to go.

The part that always hits me the most about this scene is when you see J.D. walking to his car with the instrumental of Superman playing, knowing it's the last time he's leaving that building.

Now I have to wrestle a bear while and fix cars and get into a fight. I'm a man dammit. I should not tear up to this.

That final shot is just perfect; the executive producer saying goodnight to Zach, the instrumental version of Superman, Zach driving off and the ambulance approaching thus emphasising that life (at Sacred Heart) goes on. 10/10

THIS and Boy Meets World have the best finales.

I think M*A*S*H and Nickelodeon's iCarly had the best series finales. This one was really well done, too.

This ending is so perfect. I like to think that what he sees is really what happens in his future. I'm so glad I never saw the 9th season. I've heard it sucks.

its 2014 and this ending still gets to me, i miss this show a lot, despite that season 9 stuff i wouldnt complain if they continued it from there. I just want some more scrubs in my life again
@oro2play10 жыл бұрын
God, would I love them to continue it. But take Season 9 away from the main show and make it the Scrubs: Med School spinoff it was meant to be. Unfortunately it's been so long now I don't think the whole cast would be on board anymore. And Bill Lawrence has moved on from it, now working on Cougar Town. TED MADE A CAMEO IN THAT BTW :D Though it was depressing ...

This tv show was clearly their baby and they gave it the best start in life that they possibly could! Thank you to them, the people who dedicated a decade of their lives to making one of the most wonderful TV shows ever, x

I don't know if it's possible for me to put how this scene is catching my emotions. I've always speculated what the ending would look like, but I never thought it would be so incredibly beautiful. That's just the perfect goodbye for JD. The perfect goodbye for scrubs. Thank you for a wonderful time.

I don't know, a follow-up miniseries that dealt with JD's new life, Turk dealing with JD not being at Sacred Heart anymore, and Cox settling into being Chief of Medicine could have been interesting. As long as they didn't introduce a bunch of 20 something who weren't funny.
