Thanks for taking the time to create a helpful demonstration. Wish I had discovered it before completing my own install. I was able to pass the panels behind the wind braces without removing them. Narrow strips can be trimmed off the scraps and tucked behind the vertical rails typically present on one or both ends.

You suggested putting the bottom in first and that was a real-time and frustration saver. Thank you! I had to. cut an inch off the length in my case. I discovered that putting one end in and hitting the opposite end with a hammer and a flat piece of hardwood gently forces the end into the garage door bracket. The second door should be much easier to do. Again, thanks!

@@ScrufsGarage What I wanted to know was not the garage door heat difference but the overall garage temperature. Do you recall how much the entire garage temperature went down by?

That's a good way to do the cuts. Thanks.

Thanks for the video!!! I will do this to my garage door. Did you notice a drop in temperature during summer?
@ScrufsGarage5 ай бұрын
Insulation slows down heat transfer. So if your garage door is in direct sun during the day, would reduce the amount of heat transfer into the garage. Though keep in mind that if your garage space isn't conditioned (heated/cooled) then eventually the garage becomes the same temp as outside. It would be like turning off the ac in your house. Eventually it would get hot in the house, regardless of the insulation. So the benefits of insulation is most noticeable when you're trying to condition the space; such as running a heater when it's cold outside, etc.

Any difference in winter time, since your install? I know you can’t speak for summer yet, given the season you released your install video in. Thanks for the video

I think so, especially if you are trying to heat/cool your space.
