* 722 True Blue Bullitts were made (not 723). I know this by heart since by brother owns one and we would say "722 so few", but I said 723 in the video for some reason.

Something very interesting about that white 99 cobra that was tested against the bullitt and Mach 1 is that it actually had a factory replacement engine innit so they knew it was up to par for the test. Also something cool is that the McQueen bullitts actually were pulled off the assembly line and the McQueen stickers were placed on top of normal bullitt stickers so they are included in the total build number

9:00 NO WAY!!! I did NOT know that a Mustang engraved Terminator bumper existed!!!!! One that was actually officially made... Man how many of those around? I would pay money for that! Taught me a lot of things here today Danny I appreciate it. Really do love the Bullitt mustang as well as the Mach1. Great video! Very informative and love the fact your brother has a true blue! Loved the end shot with the bullitt and the Mach 1s! I currently own a semi modded Mach and am currently trying to find a nice lower mileage bullitt (new edge preferably but I’d consider the s197 model as well)

I had a dark highland green 01 bullitt. It ran pretty good. It had black Saleen s281 wheels, was lowered, 15% window tint and 35% windshield tint, K&N cold air intake, BBK shorty headers, BBK off-road X pipe, Borla stingers, it had smoked headlights, Mach 1 grille delete, Mach 1 chin spoiler, and ford racing 3.73 gears. The car was great but the transmission sucked lol. The first year TR-3650 is junk. I replaced it with one with 36k miles and it shifted fine after that.

Since when did the Bullitt guages come marked white at 6k, 7k, and 8k? Was that a prototype? I have a Bullitt cluster in my GT and they're red? (@ 6:39 mark)

Must be a pre-production picture. I've seen a few odd things like that (even 01 Cobra seats in a terminator being tested by a magazine).

Thanks for making these videos of the special edition sn95 post 1998 mustangs... Reminds me of good times.. Purchased a new 2002 Red Torch GT and a couple years later traded it in for a 2004 comp orange cobra... Sold that a couple years after and missed it so much that I purchased a used 2003 cobra...Well, needless to say that's gone too now and I am stuck watching youtube vids of these wonderful machines... whatever you do, don't sell your mach or cobra, you will regret it... Always liked this body style best and all though the bullitt and mach were not up to match the cobra in performance, they are just beautiful cars.... thanka again for the vids...

I’m in the process of getting my old 01 GT back from a salvage auction, so hoping it works out. I get pretty nostalgic around this time of year since it’s when i’ve bought all my mustangs for some reason

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage before I had all these post 98 sn95s I used to mess with older foxbody 5.0s, had some really nice built coupes etc.. After I sold my cobras, everytime I used to see a termie in the past, I would just brush it off like whatever it was nothing getting rid of these cars.. Almost as if i was in denial of missing them.. Well, I have to be true to myself and I can honestly say I miss, I mean miss hearing that supercharger whine and rolling down the street and having everyone's attention as you had the baddest factory machine out there, at least at that time..... And yes, your brother's car is an exact copy of what I once had.... Have fun, and make sure to drive the heck out of your cars and make memories...Peace...

SVT is, or rather was, a division of Ford. How do they "own" the DOHC to the point of parent Ford not being able to use it lmfao, glad they ended that nonsense for the Mach 1. I've always thought the Bullitts were underpowered, all three of them. With that being said, Ford clearly did put forth some real effort into making unique cars here. And they effing look sinister lol

You DO realize that the 440ci Charger in the original movie Bullitt, was detuned to keep it from passing the 390ci mustang and McQueen actually drove the mustang in the chase scene. He wasn't supposed to drive and accidentally hit the parked car during the chase (oops). Movie FACTS.

Not too long ago there was a program on about the making of the film Bullitt, the people producing the movie stated that the Charger continually walked away from the Mustang so it was detuned to keep it from happening over and over. So the mill was stock but it was still handicapped in the words of the producer/crew.

Great review, love seeing these. You forgot to mention the smoked headlights. International Mustang Bullitt Owners Club (IMBOC) is one of best online forums out there. If you own a black with two stickers under the seat, it used to be mine. Also, I believe there are only one or two replacement stickers for each car.

Marlo Stanfield I agree it’s cool for what it is and paved the way for the Mach 1, but I think the name bullitt that sounds like bullet makes people think it’s cool. It should have kept a lot of the pre-prediction things as well. It’s too bad they couldn’t pull off the 32V, but this is why I went with the Mach 1
