You can tell Scru grew up a punchline/technical rapper, heavy rhymes, heavy flow, punchlines and metaphors. Many of us grew up that way esp if you came up in the Eminem and battle-rap lineage. We're somewhat deficient in the storytelling/flexing/lifestyle type of rap that's of the Jay Z lineage. It's why it's surprising to some of us that there are rappers that can just spit straight facts about a lifestyle without adding metaphors and that shit still hits hard as fuck. It reminded me of the first time I heard Symba. I didn't know till that point you can make a hard-ass line without doing a metaphor, just by telling a true story about your life or your environment. | Anyways Wuntayk Timmy is the American Rapper closest to Fredo in terms of combining hard-ass punches with straight lifestyle rap. But Wuntayk will smoke anybody on a punchline track just because of how easy he'll make a ridiculously witty punchline sound. You definitely should prep hard if you ever want to get on a track with Wuntayk, Scru. In the same way you'll take your time to write a verse if you're going to be on a track with Fredo. It's the simplicity with which they say hard shit that's hard to match.
