i knew he did everything himself, but, as a composer & producer myself, it makes me SO happy to see him actually use real instruments instead of sampling (which i thought he did for most of it). Nothing wrong with using samples or vst's of course, I use them myself, but it just shows that passion isn't entirely lost -- there's no reason to do this, unless you actually care deeply about sound or are strong in certain personal principles

The problem is most artists in rap don’t put things together from scratch anymore. It’s all digital so it’s not as interesting and eventually becomes more of a vlog than it being about creating art. 1) Tyler recorded Chromokopia in his house. 2) all the instruments that Tyler plays in the video and in the album, he taught himself to play, particularly the piano. Absolutely, get out there and be creative, even if you dont have Tyler's money and resources to put on the production that he is able to, you can still put pen to paper cheaply and create SOMETHING. Your creative energy is the one thing you have in spades, and in the new AI era, it looks like theyre trying to rob us of that as well, protect it and use it while you still can and while it still has value.
