@cstephenson333 No one is trying to match the "Juke's" arrangements because they don't own any. Some of these arrangements being played by the Marching 101 belong to Carnell Knighten who is now on staff with the Marching 101. Anything the Juke plays comes from a band director like any other band.

@smoothskin8 No, a Mr. Knighten's arrangement for SCSU. Although played in the same key, parts taken away or added for the band that he's a director for now. 2 different styles of bands here. But, I do like Southern's Tuba and Percussion break though.

Jaguar Nation, dont be upset over scsu playing and sounding like Southern. Its a compliment because the best form of flarty is impersonation. SU has change the game for all college bands and our alumi is making other wack school better. scsu is ranked now and its all because of SU alumi. I think more SU almni should go improve these wake bands but have you all notice that they go to the MEAC school. SU is ranked #1 like ever year.

@pbs18 i dont think that people are mad about it they are some what saying that if someone like Mr. Knighten change schools that the current school will sort of sound like his previous school. and if you compare the two schools playing the song they actually do sound similar in some ways, its nothing against SCSU, cause they are actually the best or one of the best MEAC bands, in my opinion.

@dsavage636 The 101 has 2 much musical history of it's own to be that "S". They R their own S as in ScSu 2 B exact. And the songs they play don't belong 2 SU, they R the songs of the recording artists who created them & Mr. Knighten created HIS arrangements of them. Now from those bare facts, tell me how SU can claim them? They may have played them 1st, but that's it. As someone else on another clip stated, just because Mr Knighten left SU, doesn't mean he had shelve his catalog of arrangements.

@AMrHankyBeat It's 1 thing 2B influenced by an actual director from another school as Mr. Knighten is, but it's yet another 2 claim that the director's current band is trying 2 copy his former school's band. That 2 me is contradicting. If U have said the arrangements R his, then give him the credit & not his former band because the former band is N the same boat as the current band as far as playing his arrangements go.
