I'm glad to see this kind of stuff. Wish we could have had a fifth quarter with ga tech when I was at mbc

Look at the contrast of styles. We need to see more of this, and more often. I would love to see USC Trojans against VSU Trojans

BUCKLIKEME TX009 I agree, VSU would get whooped😬

SCSU's sound change due to Mr. Carnell Knighten becoming one of their arrangers. Mr. Knighten came str8 from SOUTHERN (SWAC) and alot of their tunes he brought to SCSU but changed them a little. Unfortunately Mr. Knighten passed early this year. He truly was a awesome composer that loved to teach. RIP Mr. Knighten my mentor forever

There are clips on here from Eastern MI and Alabama State doing a 5th on the field. That's good stuff. We should do more 5th's with PWC's... AEA

Hands Down Mr. Knighten (RIP) is the best arranger any band program has seen! SN: IU have a seat! #SU

SCSU just showed why they are at the very top of HBCU marching bands. Not only are they a great HBCU band they can also out perform PWI bands with musical accuracy and balance. Well done 101. 👏🏾👏🏾

i like IU, I LOVE the way the play..BUT im a HBCU fan FOR LIFE LOL

Good battle. Boy, that Sing, sing, sing. My HBCU bands got to get back to playing more difficult marches instead of playing these easier LOUD selections. When you face off with a band that can actually play,,, you’re in trouble. FAMU would have settled the score.

scsu cant get hood and hype like they want to on IU ass lol
@tyshoanwhite38809 жыл бұрын
what happened to all the IU fans that were talking about scsu drumline and how dirty they were?? oh but whenever wind instruments come into play nobody has shit to say SMH lol
@blkplaya989113 жыл бұрын
@Yeagerx2012 Yep, the arrangement from Mr. Knighten. The man on the stand directing is Mr. Eddie Ellis, director of bands at SCSU.

@PapicitoNegro PWCs are known to have a "postgame" performance with the other band. No bad blood or beef...but just a pure performance.

I need to go check those out. I wouldn't mind my school playing Ohio University

@Ceobeatmaker a real battle would be NSU Spartans vs USC Trojans. V-State's not at that point yet for USC. Maybe Horsepower is, but not the rest of the band.
@1970brwr6 жыл бұрын
BlackCalvinist z unless you want the score 98-0 usc that will never happen unless nsu get greed for the cash
@growingfuturesfarmgardenpa55406 жыл бұрын
This is not a battle it's a concert .look at when hbcu battle hbcu the bands move it's a contest it's a battle I know compromises where made but if it looks like this just skip it and if u can't don't call it q battle call it a concert

SCSU had a decent sound. I would have thought IU band would be bigger.
@Ceobeatmaker13 жыл бұрын
@BlackCalvinist Well I'm going on concept. There is a possibility that V state is not ready for that level of battle. But who's to say they are not until they actually do it. People didn't believe the Detroit Lions had a team that can make a ruckus in the NFC north yet here they are 5-2 and in 2nd place. Sometimes the opportunity must be given in order to see someone rise to their fullest potential.
