NBC took an awesome property and stomped it into a forgotten oblivion. I grew up on Canadian SCTV (imported to the US), and it was so great, Earl Camembert, Edith Prickly and Count Floyd, and so many more, but on NBC, they were just not that great. Some hopped over to Saturday Night Live, for again, another forgotten season erased from history, but the original version and group was the best.

I will never forget laughing my guts out until my stomach hurt when this originally aired. It was like the Justice League - all the SCTV stars coming together in the yuletide season to party and mingle, with some new ones (the super-lesbian bartender?? lol). This TV show was like some kind of meteor, the like never to be seen again
