Hello. I was using an AquaLung(Don't know the model) during my Pool Session. Mine didn't have the Venturi Knob. But it had a Switch with a + and - on top. Under my mask. I left it on -. Didn't have any issues 12 ft down.

Tried them once when I was getting introduced to dry suit diving and they were amazing! Not sure if they are best for open water divers necessarily. First time I went down to 170 feet and the HOG was just on-point!
