"PMO NOS alone gathered 30 sacks of various segregated wastes composed of mostly non-biodegradables made up of plastic, rubber, synthetic fiber, and glass.
With the generous support of licensed volunteer divers from PMO NOS, Philippine Scuba Diving Professional Development Association (PSDPDA), Silver reef resort, Critter
republic, la tortue resort and Gentle City Dumaguete Eagles Club,15 sacks of trash were collected.
International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) is one of the world's largest annual preservation and protection events and volunteer efforts for our ocean, waves and beaches.
These activities have become a practice of the PMO in the promotion of cleaner seashores and the ultimate preservation of our marine environment. This is one of the priority programs of the agency."
