I use a regular remote and I jump with R3 and switch to build mode with L3. I edit with L1 and I claw over with my index to the center playstation pad button.. yeah the big rectangular button in the middle of the ps4 remote for my roof. Lol.. cuz that way I never have to take my thumbs off the joysticks

If you’re swinging to scuff and use to jump with r3 and crouch with x I really recommend you use A paddle for jumping and use the right stick for switch mode just because my edit binds are R1 to select and L1 to confirm and I always get my middle finger confused with my pointer so I’ll accidentally take my builds out so so I recommend r3 for build mode and another paddle for either crouch or pickaxe if you edit with left stick most important binds are build mode pickaxe and jumping and crouching In my opinion no matter what you doing you never wanna take you’re thumb off the right stick that’s the goal touch pad should also be used wisely I use it for traps even tho they gun not trynna sound smart just trynna help out ppl

I changed my binds 4 months ago. I tried full claw, but it was too hard for me. I couldn't get the timing of my jumps right. Now i edit with touchpad (claw), pull up builds on r3, jump on l3 and crouch on x (claw).

Actually I play taking my thumb off the joystick (but I'm switching to the impact) and if you play that way long enough you can do most of the things you said you couldn't. Its actually not that hard but it does take practice. And of course playing this way ever since you've played video games helps too lol

I have no claw and no paddles. You learn how to move and what you can do but there are limitations. I do plan to move to paddles soon though. Doing 90s and Suicide jumps are possible if you have fast fingers

See I don't use x for jump I use l3 for jump, but I want paddles for editing and build mode or if I get them I could use them for jump I just don't like having edit or build mode on my sticks, I use my sticks for movement so I'd feel more comfortable to use paddles to help edit, switch build mode, with four I'd maybe move inventory and ping over too.

@@raymendez3403 ikr, I get confused with my marker and inventory bc they're both on d-pad but I don't understand when people say you HAVE to play claw or you can't be good or have good movement. The time it takes to switch to build mode isn't even that bad. It's not like you stop for a whole second it's a split second switch that can almost be unnoticeable with good muscle memory. I hit it with the underside of my thumb knuckle so the distance is so small it doesn't make that big of a difference. Build mode is square for me, edit is x, and the farthest bind from my fingers is pickaxe on triangle. Even my edit binds are set up to where I can edit and reset maybe a half second slower than scroll wheel reset

D3adw8 Gaming oh, I don’t agree with that. If you had an option to either leave your thumb to press switch mode or don’t leave your thumb to press mode which one will you choose? The answer is pretty easy, now once you’re used to it you simply can’t get back, just like jumping or editing etc. It’s just a matter of priorities at the end but yes it’s 100% worth it and a must to be the better player you can be. You can’t even look down to catch yourself mid jump(you need to toggle build before the jump) or look down and place a wall right on your feet because the enemy is really close etc. These are just examples on what makes a good player a better player

@@raymendez3403 you're right that it's better, and can ultimately make you a better player, all I'm saying is you can still be good and do things like the tfue classic with normal grip or no paddles it's just a lot harder. I'll never play claw because I can't get used to using my middle finger to press r1/r2 or using my pointer to press other buttons. Paddles I could use but claw is just too much. My point was originally that you can still be good without using either of those methods, you might not be the best you can be and on a competitive level it could very well make the difference between winning and losing, but for casual gameplay I don't see the need to hurt yourself or spend 50 dollars on a strike pack to 100+ dollars on a scuff.

D3adw8 Gaming exactly, you will never be the best you can be on a competitive level this is why it’s a must. Not for casuals, for the players that absolutely want to improve at any price, claw and/or scuf (translated to simply “better binds”) are a must in that aspect.
