I’m new to sculpting as well, and appreciate all the shared knowledge. Thanks! Not sure if you’re still looking for a name, but… Flamingo in Latin is “phoenicopteri” Giraffe in Latin is “panthera” I like “phoenthera” ( pronounced Feen-terra)

Such a cool sculpt… i am in process of giraffe sculpt… should have shored her up before i baked, her stance was a bit hinky so i had to adjust her upright and broke her legs in process…added more stabilizing clay but missed a crack. So now i know powder super glue and sand paper will work… glad i found ur site..

Some serious Ralph Bakshi vibes.👍 Idkw but this reminds me of the characters from the film Wizards. My favorite is called Necron 99/ Peace or The Red Rider. Very iconic. It's not really similar but it still somehow reminds me of his stuff. I think a sculpture of the red rider would make a great video.

hey, what's the difference between using "Sculpey" and "Polymer Clay"? Which one is better and how do you decide which one you'll use?

Giraffe is already a weird thing, giant horse with leopard camo and a very very long neck and tiny horns that eats thorns and spikes. Yup. Main issue here is that the head is too big and heavy for it to be able to move or fly. You would need a counterweight like a very thick back and tail, would make it look like a giant flying giraffe dodo.
