Thanks dude really appreciate it. I suspect it's all abit niche for mainstream appeal perhaps, but you never know :)

This looks insane in the coolest way possible. I cant wait to see more. I think as far as the cube base goes, it would be very cool to have it break down into smaller cubes running up her leg, as well as have small patches of the smallest of your cubes at the appex of the shoulder plate as well as spread through some of the other pieces, as if they were 99% finished coalescing instead of fully finished on one half and not the other
@thedarkpower
@thedarkpower Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah I was thinking of something like that. I just need to figure out the best way of doing it as positioning the cubes is proving a little tricky.

Loving the concept of a stream of digital cubes ostensibly building the figures armour. I look forward to seeing the finished sculpture.

I like the idea where the armor assembles/dissolves to/from digital blocks. Clear (tinted?) resin could look really cool.

Excellent built as always! How about adding a ponytail (rasta-hair/cables)? And some some needles/ antennas into the hair like seen on Japanese geishas?

Thanks very much. Yeah I definitely need to add more detail so I need to start thinking about stuff like that.

Interesting concept with the idea of the translucent bits. In my opinion, The base would look better in a more regular oriented manner. with the voxels facing the same direction.

Thanks, yeah I think you're right. It's a little tricky to get the blocks arranged correctly so I'm going to experiment to see what works best.

Very fine model the only minor stuff I would do different was in order to make it look more mech like change the proportions of legs a little bit.

Seeing you use Monster Clay during this process got me thinking; would it be possible to cover a thin layer of Apoxie Sculpt over the MC and then remove the clay once set? Not sure how thin you could go with Apoxie Sculpt before it becomes brittle. The reason I ask is that AS isn’t exactly cheap and I’m all for saving money where I can!
@thedarkpower
@thedarkpower Жыл бұрын
Yeah good idea. I tried something like that for something else and sculpted some armour over the monster clay in Aves Apoxie. It worked well, however the epoxy stuck to the monster clay, so it took abit of work to separate them.
