Absolutely loving this series, the duplicating leg armour trick was great. Couple of small requests for future videos if you do them (which I hope you do). To keep the tool bar open so we can see the tool you are currently using, it really is helpful for newcomers. To have screencast keys on, so we can see any shortcuts. I realise it's sped up, so we'd miss some, but those it did catch would help. To also have the model statistics on display in the top left corner (It's in the viewport overlays menu, top right of the 3d viewport). This would be hugely helpful for seeing what resolution you are working at... yeah yeah... I know... I'm always going on about resolution :D If it makes you feel any better, it's one of the number one questions I get for 2D art as well ;)

Great to hear :). If I'm not mistaken you can see the current tool at the top left, the name and icon, if I'm misunderstanding let me know Good point I will look to set up screencast keys would be a nice addition Did not know about the resolution stats, will certainly get that turned on for future vids to clear that up for others. Thanks for the feedback really appreciated.

@@MWSculpts Nope you're not mistaken, thats completely correct. I never actually knew that... I knew the settings where there, never noticed the actual brush. Which also means I can now actually access my nested brushes easier as well... so thats a help also :D Thabks again for the videos, it's very much appreciated. Great work... :)

Do you use a mouse or a drawing tablet for your modeling? I want to get into 3d modeling and printing do I'm working on a shopinglist
@MWSculpts Жыл бұрын
Yes use a Wacom Intuos Pro Medium. I would recommend a drawing tablet over the mouse for sure. One by Wacom is a good budget option.

Awesome!!! just a question why when i want to join objects everything moves?
@MWSculpts3 жыл бұрын
:D. Ah yes good question. If you unparent the objects first then join they will stay in the same place. I will explain this better in a future vid.

Great videos! A general question, is it possible to do a mask extract function to form clothing/armor/etc from your pose-able armature? Whenever I try to mask, say, the thigh and extract it there is only a little blip of triangles that is extracted and not the entire thigh, thanks!
@MWSculpts2 жыл бұрын
You know in my experience I have had very little success with this function 😭. Getting the same results as you most of the time. Sometimes it does work though.. Perhaps try unparenting the object, then remesh it and try again..

@@MWSculpts thanks for the tip! Ill give that a try and see how it works

how do i change the resolution on shapes so I can actually add details? its currently just a few polys so I cant edit much :(
@MWSculpts3 жыл бұрын
If you use the voxel remesher while in sculpt mode you can reduce the number and get much more detail on the object that way. Hope this helps let me know if still struggling
