@@petergresh516 I'm gonna chime in here with some fun facts. I'm faintly acquainted with an artist they brought on to help with the designs, someone who does realistic Pokemon. They had to find the balance between realism and losing the sense of "Pokemon" in the designs for the directors, so the Charizard in the movie was a middle ground. Some of the earlier Pokemon designs they did looked far more akin to this style, but they weren't used. Look up RJ Palmer on Artstation for some of his work in the movie!
