Bit off a different armature for you guys on this particular video. We had fun with this one and we hope you love this as much as we do :) Don't forget to watch for the end for a little outtake and see if you can spy our Assyrian Warhorse near the end!

Lovely to see this beautiful arch. I did my dragon similar with foam carving as the armature but covered it with tin foil ready for pal tiya. I notice you guys didnt use foil?

We use that same paint technique in the haunted house industry to weather and age our sets. Plus, we also use foam on our wooden studio flats to get dimension and details, then coat them with a hardcoat. Well, depending on how close the patron gets to the set. If it's in the background, it's usually just textured paint or a light hardcoat. If it's up close and they can touch it, we go heavy so that it holds up to the abuse. Love your product!

Fantastic work!! so fun to watch it come together. May I ask what paint you use? Plus is the shellac thinned so it can be sprayed and how long for it to set up?

Absolutely love 💕 this!! I love that you’re able to apply the product straight to the polystyrene too. Gorgeous work! X Edit: ahhh I’ve just read the description, thanks for explaining the polystyrene process, I think I’ll stick with cardboard and tin foil lol 😂.
