I recently started playing Scum, soaked a fair few hours into the game. Learnt a lot from your videos! However, wasted a lot of time building a character that was wrong. Now having to delete the character because I cant reach its full potential and I'm rank 1 on an official server. It's So important you mention that creating a character with 2 points in dexterity means u can never get to advanced in more than 1 category. For example thievery and stealth can never reach advanced. Later as you progress you will want thievery/ stealth/driving maxed out. I can't stress enough how important this is. Rule of thumb :- have at least 3 points in every category and you cant go wrong if your a solo like myself. If your in a group well who give af. much love

Personally think the improvised crossbow is better then the bow (as a starter weapon) but that's a personal opinion. Ps. Be nice if there was just a wood Bolt option that didn't require feathers but I can see why they wouldn't add it because of game balance. (Although they could justify it by giving it terrible deviation spread)

This is the best walkthru I could find. Thanks. But.............................you find stuff the whole time and I have to walk around and am lucky to get a rock! I keep my F key going but it just shows my stupid hand and that is it. Then when I am lucky to find a rock it makes this countdown. but then I cannot pick up a rock like you just pick it up the whole time, I have to search around the area if there is a stone lighting up and then I can pick it up. Then for the rope. OK I have the knife, I have the sticks but do not have tree bark. I have been running around for more than an hour and cannot find tree bark. So for just one little thing I am playing for hours and have like 4 stones and some sticks. What am I doing wrong?

I was hoping that you might be able to help me out. I am just getting started playing this game and I copied your character setting down to match every detail and I run into a situation when trying to craft the 35# bow. I make the stone knife, I have a long stick and I have made some tree bark rope, but I still cannot craft the 35# bow....I can craft the 20# bow with those supplies but not the 35#. What seems weird is that the 20# bow shows the icon for tree bark rope, but the 35# shows "rope" which I do not see an option for that in the crafting list on the right of screen...I see "improvised rope" but I tried that and that does not work either....do you have any suggestions?

Yeah some of the skills do collide and can be a little confusing.. i have asked the devs about making some form of description for skills when making a character. But for future reference ill add this to a character creation tutorial with all the details worked out on certain skills etc. Cheers dude

I literally despised this game because of constantly dying BUT after watching your and Luthais tutorial videos I love this game. I can actually survive. Quick question though, do you know how to or if it's possible to remove Sentries from Single Player? I can deal with puppets but Sentries literally shoot me through walls and I just want them disabled. Thank you!

Thanks for this, ive just been trying to play the game and after two hours i didnt even get past cutting my clothes into rags and making a rope. The game doesn't explain enough for new players.

To be fair, when I started there was a tutorial. Maybe it's THAT new. It did only explain the most basic basics, though. But at least I ended up with a very small backpack after trying it three or for times. A big minus on the tutorial was how it only let you go to the next step after completing the first. Already got the rope you need for the backpack? Fuck you, you're gonna craft another rope or it won't tell you how to do the next step.

Very helpful. I was trying to go by the journal and it was annoying af. Telling me to craft an axe when I already had one, things laying near the shelter prevented me from crafting the shelter, was driving me nuts! Your way is infinitely better, the journal tutorial is trash. Motivated to keep playing after this. They should really just make this video the in-game tutorial lol

I thought it was to detect danger in the area. Sometimes I get this "Bwoooong" sound" the first time I heard it I rounded the corner of a hayloft anda bear was about 30 feet way from me fortunately I saw him before he saw me and I slipped away. The second time I was up in the rafters of a another hayloft and I heard the "Bwoooong" sound. I waited and about 5 secs later I heard the growling and tread of a bear under me and sure enough he came into view. Both times that warning sound saved me.

I found that instead of the Improvised spear, I made another rope and 2 stones for a stone spear. Then another rope and pick up a long stick to carry until I get a piece of metal. Make a better metal spear.

@@RayKit I saw your game tracking post and decided to make a character to be more of a hunter. I was surprise at the Awareness ability to track game. I had used the whole 10 (5) points on Awareness and camouflage. First time I had no Survival points. I do have a question. last download I lost my compass and "-" doesn't turn it on. Any other way to get it back?

As far as i know they took that out a while ago. But throwing is still a work in progress I believe after recent updates as players aren't too happy with it.

I was in that bunker and I found it disappointing . The Military Bunker ,in my option should have heavy weapons in it. Them wall safes are locked and no key or anyway to open them. You risk your life going down there in the first place . The loot you get out of it to me is not worth it . You can gather more loot on land away from this area of the military bases or Merina's , etc . The Game freezes as well and when you come out of the bunker you are met with merch that will try to kill you unless you are using we mod to play the game . Then you can still die or take a beating as I found out . It is useless even if you kill a merch cause you will get nothing out of it even if you do . On single player you can sponged Idems in and also use what they call God Mode . Press T and then Shift 3 , that will give you a # sign to spooned Idems like Trucks and material for building etc . God Mode will help you also build faster . Now I do not know if it works in PVP or not , Though it does in Single Mode for sure . I hope this helps some of you who keep Dieing out there , like I did mega times . Make sure you load WEMOD BEFORE STARTING YOUR GAME AND PLAY SCUM THROUGH WE MOD .
