Guys please remember that with the small trap that takes 1 plank you can just craft a Club from 1 Plank and then the tool use will be included in the blueprint and give you more skill points just like with the single door frame.

Thanks for the constant update on the leveling guides Luthais, it really saves a lot of time for us. Btw. I think I know why you never bothered to use the raft. It seems like you made a little mistake when you calculated the exp here. You calculated from 3.450, when you actually had 3.741 bofore putting the planks in. It actually gave you 1.376, which is only 10 more than the 1.368 from the small log sheds, yet it's much bigger and more annoying to place in dense areas :-). Other than that: great video as always.

to be fair thats the 1 thing about boxes they are quick to place and fill, but it is worth taking the time to place the frames if youre just starting

hey luthais! its been a few years since you have done a base raiding video. from my findings using .50 BMG is the most efficient way to destroy walls. and now with a trader, its much easier to get

Agreed. With the traders its going to break most servers. I have already increased prices of BMG ammo on my servers.

One thing to consider is that you also got the XP from the tool in the door frame. So you would need to remove the tool from your inventory and redo it. I was powerleveling demolition today with barbed traps. Gives about 520xp per trap. But you need to use a club type tool and you gain extra XP by using the tool

Yes the tool is easy to craft or find and thats why I included the major XP I got when testing it. But we have to include the tool because its part of the process and still saves a ton of time compared to the other blueprints.

@@Luthais yeah the tool XP is always helpful to tell newer players about. I didn't know the spike trap was so useful. I did the barb trap and tool for a few hours and got to advanced

The only criticism I have for your videos is that it would be nice if there were more visuals edited in. An example would be when you're doing the math for how much exp each plank gives and having to subtract it from the previous building, have the numbers on the screen for the viewer to see and follow along easily. Another example would be to have the craft with exp per plank shown on the screen after having built them all, Doorframe exp per plank # Raft exp per plank # Chest exp per plank # These are just some small things I personally think would make your videos better, however you're already doing the time consuming work of researching so I understand you won't have much time for the presentation. Greatly enjoying the videos, you'll be at 10k before you know it. Keep it up friend.

And 0.8 seems to have changed it again, only walls and BB elements seems to be good to level up engineering now. Tried everything suggested in this awesome tutorial and had to get back to the single portal and limited to flag area in order to place BPs in order to reach medium engineering today

On a heavy pvp server I would say the scrap metal chest is the big winner for advanced crafting, takes a lot less storage room to haul a bunch of it back to a safe location

Just a heads, up you made a slight mistake in the calculation for the raft. The raft actually gave you 1,376 experience, not 1,600, so the small log shed is still a little better.

small miss calculation on raft xp. it was 3700 insteat you calculate with 3400. so log storage should still be the best

I'm still new to the game, but from what I can see, the "complexity" of the item is a factor in how much xp you get, not just the "level" of the item. For example, under Basic level, the various items have their own complexity rating. The higher the complexity, the more xp gain you get, even if adding the same materials. 4 planks in a low-complexity item vs 4 planks in a high-complexity will give you different xp, even though you've added the same materials. Does that sound accurate? Or is the varied amounts of xp gain due to the inclusion of a tool use, and has nothing to do with how complex the item is?

Hello Luthais! I was hoping you could help me out with something. I started my character with advanced engeneering and I thought it would allow me to upgrade my base walls to Brick and then Concrete, but i just can't. I need some skills combined to be able to upgrade my walls? The odd thing about all of this is that I can upgrade my door frames to reinforced that gives 2000 HP. I am currently doing this Improvised Wooden Chest XP Boost on my Advanced Engeneering to see if it unlocks the Brick and Concrete Walls upgrade.

You should be fine unless your cold or overheated or hungry that lowers your stats. Hope you took 3 Int otherwise it won’t work like if you took 2.9 or 2,5 Int it won’t work

I can't stand the skill system. At the very least they need to get rid of camo skill because being camouflaged is all about what your wearing and staying still. All vehicles should not have a skill either and you should be able to go as fast as possible no matter how much experience you have. Increase the damage from crashing and make it so players get hurt if you crash at high speeds and even add manual transmission and that would be the skill. No need for a skill system to grind away at for these things.

I agree with you on the speed they can just let handling and gear shifting suck at the start but I havent got a major problem with it. Just feels like a bigger reward at the end.
