Pro tip, use a barricaded window then put a pantry shelf storage in front of the window, put really good locks on it so they’ll waste their time lockpocking it meanwhile u can just store clothes / stuff you don’t care too much about in it

Great guide, thanks for the info. This helped alot, all I had was a cabin with one lock on it lol XD I put a wall in front so now they will have to blow it up and planted a flag after watching this. I'll start looking around for a building soon though.

Yep! That's the way. In official settings, there are not many places that you can lock up and build around a pre-existing building. but usually, it's the best you will get!

Now that we can upgrade to 2 more levels of walls, it feels a bit more balanced. It takes time for both to get all the resources needed. Bases weren't meant to be fully safe.

Which storage containers can be placed in the preexisting houses? Can you build wardrobe, storage shelf etc.... or just wooden crates

You can put any crate in houses, as well as wardrobes as they are containers, I do recommend wardrobe though as it makes it longer for a raider to get out with your gear if you lock it and they can't move it around like a box as well as cannot destroy it until it is lockpicked.

I think that one was in B3 but theres LOTS of houses like this across the map, try looking on the small roads, theres several like this for example in c3, one directly north of the petrol station and another further north east, another directly east of the petrol station, they are everywhere

There are some areas that you cannot build like towns and the city or too close to POI like bunkers.

No you cannot. There is some places with less than 3/4 buildings at which you can put flags down and build but otherwise it needs to have it set to build anywhere by the server owner.

Yeah I was really confused when I dropped in on a official and saw a wall around a little house. There wasn't much around it but a barn. I was like, "how is this guy building here?" Lol

Hmm an off question, but what FOV do you guys suggest playing in, at both 3rd amd 1st PoV?

I play with the maximum FOV possible but that's more of a preference. I like to see as much as possible. It does make aiming down the sight a little bit harder because the pixels of your enemies are smaller but I don't have too much trouble with that.

hi question for storage chests in multiplayer servers, how many days till items in storage chests or your chest itself despawn or disappear (without interacting with it)?

It will depend on server settings, usually, high loot servers will have it lower than normal to help remove clutter if players aren't playing anymore. But the official servers I believe are around 14 days.

If you have a flag placed, can other non-party members build base elements in the flag's radius (e.g. towers)? I know that she said that anything built within the radius "belongs to you", but it was not clear to me if an enemy could build within your radius even though it "belongs to you".

No, If you have placed a flag and click on it, it will show the area that you only or team members can build in. Other players can build a tower right on the outside of the flag border but not inside so I do recommend to not build up to the border as people can build a tower and then jump past your first layer of wall and wreak havoc inside.

It seems that you cannot test things in a single-player mode anymore unless you create 2 characters and go and destroy the construction made by the other one. But we decided to rent a 10 slot server and do our testings there.

There are a few places on the map that allow you to place flags and build around them on Official settings servers. There is 2 good one in D4 that I know of, 2 in C4 and there are a few others on other parts of the map. :)

so for barbed wire each barbed wire uses 5 uses so it needs at least 5 uses and you also need nails :)

It will damage the walls but it won't be as much as it used to be. I might redo a video about it during the week :)

building mazes is not pretty or logical. They need to reduce either the damage or volume of explosives low or both.

They have reduced the amount of Killboxes keycard by quite a lot and you now need to do them 4 times and be lucky to find the 4 C4 parts. So Raiding with C4 is going to be a little more complicated.

No it cant destroy an existing building door thats why I would suggest locking up a pre existing building because its more secure than a cabin when it comes to C4

There are building restrictions for some areas of the map like towns/cities/Bunkers or if you are too close to them.

@@johnnechaev1550 Yes, you can lock pre-existing buildings but it is unlikely that you can build there too. There are a few places on the map that you can have both. For the pre-existing building, all you need to do is block the windows and put locks on the doors. you will be limited to only one choker to help defend your base.

You are either too close to a POI, Towns/City or someone who has a flag in the area. Sometimes peoples hide flags inside of trees too. Check all this :)

@@brendon5012 press Tab and on your metabolism on the left side you go under intelligence then you check the engineering skill. Let me know what number you have. Also, you do need engineering to put a flag down but you need a character with at least medium engineering for it to be worth it to build.

The point is to fight players thats part of the game to build and raid and you can make your base strong so it’s hard for people to get in
