SCUM v 0.95 | SP | S2/EP.12 | ON OUR WAY HOME

Welcome back everyone to our SP series. In this episode I finish my looting in the city of Sambor and decide to head home. I do make a few stops on the way including the C3 military camp (the one that I didn't record in episode 10), then we head to the B4 trader to sell everything we can. In the process I buy the Carbon Hunter and some accessories with the money we received. I also found a truck part on my way to the trader. I hope you enjoy this video and thanks for watching :)

Good stuff. Little vehicle maintenance tip. Put the rager in service. If anything is red, repair it. This is also the only way to repair tyres. It uses the car repair kit, not the tyre one. If you put the car in service from the left or right hand sides, it will only let you repair the tyres on the same side. Will need to end service, swap sides then start service to repair the other tyres.

to add on, you can hold a vehicle repair kit, and hold F on the front grill and repair chassis which will repair the HP of the whole vehicle. you don't need it in service mode with a jack to do this. the HP of the vehicle, I believe determines if it becomes unrepairable. the health of each individual piece determines if each individually goes away when broken

1. To repair your truck tires you need to put it on the jack. 2. When your game freezes, try waiting about 30 seconds. It may reactivate on its own. My game freezes EVERY TIME I return to my base from a trip. I can hear the truck roaring away but everything is frozen for ~30 seconds. Your issue maybe different than mine, but it’s worth a try. You can cut out the delay during editing. 3. What’s your ENGINEERING level? If you can make metal trunks you can double your storage. The truck holds up to 6 trunks. 4. The loot at the camp use to be decent quality, now it’s more like the crap loot at WWII bunkers. 5. I can see the video much better now, see how much it improves when you put headlights in the truck😁. 6. Remember, when you buy stuff from a trader, he now has more money to buy more of your stuff.

Thanks for all of the tips. My engineering skill is high enough for the metal chests. I have to do more prepping before my next episode. I did some already, but I have a few more things to do. I carry 2 gas tanks with me because the truck eats up gas, I'm not sure I could fit 6 chests in it, but I will add more. The loot wasnt in great shape at the military camp, but I did find some good stuff. I really wanted to get that part recorded, because my OBS stopped recording at that point in an earlier video.

@@CitizenZ_Gaming Hello. I’ve been doing a little math. In my truck, I have 6 metal trunks, 2 large gas cans and 13 Improvised Backpacks (the good ones). In each trunk I have 18 Camping Backpacks. So here’s the math… An empty truck has 550 slots. (Each slot is the size of a standard item like scrape metal) . With 18 backpacks you have 900 slots per trunk. Times 6 trunks and you have a whopping 5400 slots and still room for 2 large gas cans. I use the Improvised backpack to carry supplies I may need while out looting. ie, one pack for lock picking stuff, 1 pack for food & Drinks, 1 pack for ammo and spare weapons and so on. I can go out looting for 3-4 days at a stretch. When one BP gets full, I simply swap it out for an empty one. I wait until I return to my base to sort everything out. (That does take a while.) As you may be able to tell, I’m a little OCD.😁 One word of caution… about a year ago, I was out for a 3 day, very successful looting spree and was on my way back to base. Just a few clicks from my base I FELL THROUGH THE MAP. THE TRUCK, EVERYTHING IN IT AND EVERYTHING ON ME WERE DESTROYED, LOST GONE FOREVER!!😩😥

I don't know if I'll use that strategy, but I will keep note of this by taking a screenshot of this comment. Thank you for sharing and doing the math 👍 You falling through the map is a problem and would be devastating to go through, but whats worse losing all of that loot or having to sort through it when you get back to base? I'm kidding, losing the loot is much worse. I hope that doesn't happen to me any time soon. I didn't think that was an issue anymore. I guess I can make at least 3 more chests for the truck then. @@CitizenZ_Gaming back then, ~1 year ago, falling through the map was distressingly common. The issue is very rare now, thankfully. Sorting the loot is very tedious, but selling it is worse. You’ll have so much loot that you will need to run around to all 4 traders just to get rid of it. ~$100-$150K per trader base. (Note: I loot everything >50% quality, I’m OCD and a collector and bit of hoarder😁🤷‍♂️.)

The occasional crashes/freezes are IRRITATING for me. When my game crashes, if I'm driving... I'll spawn on the road while my vehicle will spawn about 1/2 mile to a mile ahead in game leaving a lengthy run for me. There will also be no vehicle sound, but that's easily fixed by exiting and then re-entering the vehicle. Luckily I have an old game save from 0.75 that I still play a lot on my older gaming desktop that never crashes on me, and still having rafts is a blast. Still find myself playing 0.95 alot more though. Can't wait till the full release and what modding brings to the game.

There's issues, but its still in early access, so I'm not going to try and complain too much. My real issue is with the puppets, but I will manage and keep putting out videos for this game. Thanks for watching these episodes even though you feel that way 😁👍

I’ve been playing this game sine 01/2020 and it goes through these birthing pains from time to time. The devs are pretty good at eventually fix the issue. They do listen to us. About a year ago falling through the map was a big issue, almost quit the game over it, but now that’s very rare. So they do listen and they do fix stuff. Best…
