The “some assembly required” is what I wanted to see! 😂

yeah seriously, putting the things together is what I need the help with, not the 2 screws that hold them onto the truck lol

I just installed these on my SCX24 C10 and instantly noticed that even with the softer springs that it made the truck ride too high and prevented the shocks from compressing enough, resulting in the truck rolling over when it previously had zero issues with the stock shocks. I cut about 25% of the springs off which then set the truck back to factory height, but now I have the extra shock travel and can really climb some aggressive terrain. Cutting the springs down also removed much of the shock bind that i was also coming across. My setup is now a partial droop setup, I suppose. If you don't wanna cut your new shock springs down, take the springs from the factory shocks and try that out first. it will give you a really good idea of the feel and ability.

Yeah I got about half way through putting mine on and was like "wait, this is turning into an EazyRC car" and put the factory shocks back on.

Might have been a minimally informative video with more information than the detailed videos I see other people make! Simple is better, great video!!

It looks like they're binding. One of the recommendations to prevent that and to allow for greater articulation is to remove the outer o-ring from all four corners.

Looks like you're going to roll backwards when you start climbing. The center of gravity has been compromised.
@maxpaul112 жыл бұрын
awesome! Try the softer springs! You want the truck to sit almost stock height! Those shocks are too allow flexibility! you also might want limiter strap so it don't tip over when climbing steap grades!

What do you mean by limiter strap? How do you by doing this?

I run the black ones in the front and the gold ones in the back. I personally like the harder springs in the back.
@KS-wt9gj2 жыл бұрын
Or you could have done that for free without the way too stiff aftermarket springs. I stretched the stock springs 5mm to lift the front end and still have full soft travel. The new hard body Bronco without the stupid rack and this free fix makes this scx24 run out pretty darn well.

Your not going to like then.. I just got a set last week for the jeep.. I have HR, same size on my Gladiator, well guess what, I have a set of HR shocks on the way for the jeep in the same size.. I'm not putting them down just saying the hot racing worked way better in my application for both of my scx24's..
