What a cool father and son project! Those wheels and tires are huge, they look good though! Monster trucks are sweet! Thanks for another great video Adam, take care!!!

Great, Adam. Very nice to see how you and your son have fun on this little rigs. My girl (2 years) is already driving the stock Rubicon but only forward and backwards. And she does not care at all if there is a wall in front of the rig or not… 😂

The rear steering is a must! I thought it would rub but barely touches when at over flex. Definitely fun build!
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
Agreed! My only gripe is that I cant get the back to sit as low as I want because the body mounts are resting on the servo. I might have to get creative to make clearance, but it's still super fun nonetheless!

I built a 4ws Betty and painted it like the king sling truck and I liked it but the 4ws took time to get used to it. Now if I want to mess with it I have to play around for a few minutes and get used to the 4ws. I would rather it be front wheel steer only but it’s a shelf queen so I leave it how I originally built it. I’m glad your boy liked his gladiator though. I bet he is better driving 4ws than I am.

My 4 yr old great granddaughter doesn’t like my SCX24 crawlers they go to slow. I’m just getting her to steer the Telton. Axle did seem excited about the monster truck conversion.
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
@@GeezerGramps my son is the same way: not a fan of slow crawling. That’s why he digs the fcx24 with its two speed transmission so much. But the monster truck conversion got him for sure!!

Why didn't you use ch3 (convenient thumb activated) with the v2? You can adjust trim AND dual rate by double clicking bind twice until it blinks 3 times.
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
That will work the rear steer on the v2??
@toycoma982 жыл бұрын
@@CapeCrawlers I think so. Its 3 position, left, center, and right. Watch The Shop-Mini RC Hidden Secret! Channel 3 & 4 Trim and Dual Rates / End Points! Even Throttle Dual Rate!

Yes this works. I was wondering why you did that myself. Good work tho and always cool when you can get your kiddos involved. And you could have turned the esc around to connect the short wire servo. Awesome work. Anything to get on the rocks!!!!

It’s mesmerizing watching it crab walk! I also find it amazing what it’s capable of crawling over as well. It opens up tons of new lines

So cool that you can do this with the stock V1 electronics, i thought you would need some super expensive third party radio control.
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it’s awesome! The only downfall is that there’s no variable control. With the switch it’s full steer or nothing.
@malcolmlester45852 жыл бұрын
looking good...shame you have to run v1 electronics to make 4ws work on the scx24 as v2 is a lot smoother.

Thanks! And I agree, it’s painful swapping out the electronics.

You don't need to change the electronics?!?!? The v2 esc works fine with rear steer!!! Done it myself.
@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right! The V1 need is an incorrect notion floating around the community. I have since reverted to the V2 and its much easier given that the switch is right on the side by your thumb!
