If you’re not jumping it, you really don’t need both tires on the axle to compress at the same time. When you crawl, you are only going to compress one tire at a time. But these SCX6s look killer! Think I might pick up the new Honcho soon.

That Honcho looks so good.

I was going to say the same thing. Most crawlers run into clearance issues when you compress both shocks at the same time in front. Totally normal and won’t be an issue when running it. I used to overthink stuff like this though totally lol.

I had a bad lipo fire on my battery. So it blew out my charger. I lost 6 batteries in the blow up lucky I had them outside charging I was outside just chilling using the old bruiser so I figured I charge batteries whil I did it so I took em outside to charge ya know safety first. Lucky that day I did. Then lipos I had left bunt up in my crawler and took my esc not on one rc all four of em. I was done with it for a while.

That is a tough blow. The newer hardcase batteries seem to be pretty tough.

@@SteadySpin right mine the soft ones I had them like when they came out I used them I’m lucky it only burnt up esc and wires. And a charger not my house.

Just got my SCX6 Honcho today and already have some of your steady foams ordered based upon Exocaged videos. Is there any difference in the quality between Treal and Vitavon? I know Vitavon has more options at this point but would surely we interested in your opinion between the two.
@SteadySpin2 жыл бұрын
Good question. As you stated Vitavon makes more parts so default you will need some of them. Both Treal and Vitavon make amazing parts with great customer service (worth the price tag to me). It really comes down to the look of the parts. Treal is owned by Wendy Wang and I can see the design characteristics of a woman’s eye. Smooth edges and sleek like a beautiful women. On the other hand Vitavon is owned my Arthur Zang. He has that raw, tough machined industrial look, almost like he cut each one himself. Very manly. And Vitavon makes a portal version of the axles. They also have the high clearance servo tray, slipper delete. Treal on Amazon and Vitavon from Exo caged shipping is about even. I’d say match what you can. Is one better than the other………..no. Vitavon does make more parts tho lol. I have full set of everything from both. Spend all your money lol.

@@SteadySpin What a great style comparison between Wang and Zang....you really hit the nail on the head as the Treal is elegant and graceful whereas the Vitavon is exactly as you said, "manly" in it's design. Since I'd like to consider portals in the future, I should probable stick to the Vitavon axles, knuckles, etc. I'm assuming the various "links" will fit either brand as well as many of the other upgrades...? Thank you again for the detailed reply. Btw, took the new Honco out this evening for its maiden run and boy 'am I anxious for the steady foams to arrive;-)

Vitavon straight axles. Not sure I’d pick the portals

Man my rc crawlers are so old I’m not up to all new standards. I sold all my nitros years ago and keep some crawlers instead. But one was stolen. But not my old Tamiya bruiser ..lucky me. I am upgrading all my rc crawlers soon just life owning a house has to be prioritized

I'm fascinated how people buy something that works just fine, then actually create problems "..not fitting here.. it's hitting there...", then pay a fortune to fix what they actually broke. I have the SCX6.. I enjoy it just fine, and it doesn't NEED to lift an obese man with its steering servo LOOOL
