Interesting lamination process. Read that many plains tribes of Native Americans like the Cheyenne and the Shoshone would trade with settlers or raid wagon trains for ox yokes in order to more easily bend and mold sheep-horn bows and putting a double-recurve into an ash or bois d'arc self-bow once carved and boiled, although they would bind it down similar to the more traditional fashion for these. They also laminated them with sinew, rawhide, and glues made from hoof and horn shavings as they became more familiar with horse culture and required smaller and stronger bows. Neat stuff. :)
