In this video we'll find out which vehicle is best for reaching height in GTA V. we've made a special track to carry out this Altitude test. we have 15 contenders for this test covering various planes, jets, helicopters and other aircrafts available in GTA V. This Test will also tell you how high can you fly in GTA V.

Mistake: There's been a mistake in calculation of distance. The distance that I showed as feet is actually meter. Means this track is actually around 2.6 Km+ in Height as (800m=2.6feet). Basically video is still relevent if you just read feet as meter and what I mentioned as meter can be treated as random altitude points.

You should do this experiment with a continuous ramp of 45° or similar

Friction will eventually be the same, producing the stall at the same height... following your logic then there is no reason to launch rockets vertically, just make them fly 45° continuously and that's it, problem solved, less fuel and still can reach the end of the universe as long you maintain that angle! *Slow clap to the internet geniuses 🙄*

The planes that didn't make it to the stall limit of about 740m would have been able to go way higher, like the cargo plane or the Duster stalled very early because their engines aren't powerful enough, yet they are able to fly way higher if they go gradually to that height. And about the rockets, you know they leave the ground vertically, but then get to an angle right ? a vertical trajectory isn't efficient at all, they get a parabolic trajectory that ends up going around the earth, rathher than just going straight up, which would be a huge waste of fuel.

This doesn't actually test which is best for attaining hight, just which one's are good at climbing vertically. Flying a plabe at a 30-15% angle lets you gain more altitude than this way

Your scale is wrong, you're a lot higher than 750 meters. During the furthest fall before opening chute challenge, I normally fall around 8500 feet or 2590 meters and I'm flying in a Hydra

Why would you make the altitude test go straight up if most planes stall when going directly up, so most planes could have gone higher. In one of the story missions you can actually fly the cargo plane higher than 83 meters.

@@SD1ONE Yeah, they can. You can reach the height limit with all flying vehicles. Unless you try flying a plane straight up like an idiot and stalling that is. The height limit is about 8000 ft. Just keep climbing and check the altimeter in first person view. You'll know when you reach the top because it starts feeling like what's above you is jelly. The quickest way to reach that height is the blimp. Never done the longest freefall stuff lol?

Yeah pretty sure you all run into the same limit at the top of the map, it's just that SD1ONE measured that height as 762 m/2500 feet and what the game shows you for the same height (in the Freefall challenge for example) is 2500 m/8202 feet. The question is which one of that is true. It might either be that the game gives you "shorter" meters/feet (to make you feel the world bigger than it really is?), or the mod tool SD1ONE uses shows incorrect altitude. I think the best way to test it is to take some object which height you know without measuring (maybe even some human male model which would be ~1,8 m) and build a "tower" of it and then measure its height to see how close the number the mod/trainer shows you to its expected height. If it's very different, then the modmenu gives you incorrect altitude, or possibly it shows meters as feet.

SD1ONE I just remembered: Jantsuu also measured the height/altitude the Scramjet managed to reach and it was around 300 m kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4SWhGSjf9Kko80 which is roughly 3 times more, which is very similar to what feet are to meters. Given that the game shows 2500 m for the same altitude that your mods show as 2500 feet it's likely that you actually measured meters as feet?..
