How would Jared and Jensen ever again work side by side without the fans seeing them as Sam and Dean instead of the characters they're portraying? If one stays behind the camera while the other is in front of the camera, then yes... But, seeing these guys from now on will be Sam and Dean. It's their badge of honor!

Moreover iit's what Sam always wanted before to abandon the idea . I can't imagine another end . But I am worry to hear Jensen saying in another interview that he had trouble with the ending .

I agree- although I love this show I think it makes sense to end it after 15 as the character's evolvement exploited a lot of different “possible outcomes“ and now they are grown up; theyve come to a point in life where they know who they are. And the writers did outdo themselves season after season by developing the storyline in ways we wouldn'thave expected. There is only so far to go. I'm really excited about the final season and DO hope, like Misha said, that the #spnfamily will “keep on fighting for good causes“!
