​@elkoholicelkoholic3276 Do you read the draw odds? It's actually 6% to non resident hunters, which the odds support. The guided pool is open to both residents and non residents. Your problem is the E-plus landowner tags that bring $5-15K for Elk. Get rid of those, that would be fine with us average non resident hunters who spend our hard earned money for a 1-5% chance at drawing a tag in most units and hunt DIY. Be thankful for what you have, New Mexico has some of the best hunting in the west and I've enjoyed my two trips down.
