I know. I really like bonito. Ceviche, poke, sushi, smoked, fried. It's all good as long as you handle it correctly and don't let is get warm and mushy. Once it gets mushy it can never go back.

Hey Jayson! If I not moving that fast (like in the bays) and a boat is passing than I turn and take it straight on. If I'm riding with speed (like out from MB and PB on the way to LJ) and the boat is passing me I will ride parallel with the wake and let it slowly pas sunder me. It is still always a little sketchy and you have to be on the ball and paying attention to surface conditions at all times. Ride the current, waves, wakes. Thanks for watching!

Yes. I had to get a Mexican fishing license, permit for the Solo Skiff, and a bio bracelet to fish close to the Islands. The really make you work hard to fish the Coronados with all the paperwork and fees. Thanks for watching!

Hey Nick! OEX in Clairemont is the only dealer in SD I know of to buy new. If you want one bad enough you can find them used on Craigslist or used online but you will most likely have to drive far to pick it up.

I remember one time I went to the islands I caught a yellowtail then keep getting cut off on the rocks down there. My PB yellow is 30 what’s yours.

Hey Matthew! My personal best yellowtail is 45 pounds from La Jolla off my kayak. Frozen dead squid on the dropper loop at sunrise in front of the Condo in January 2016. It’s the fish I’m holding in my profile picture.

The trip for me back then was 2 hours on the Solo Skiff each way because the closest boat ramp (Shelter Island) was shut down ad I had to launch from other locations. By boat is about 1 hour each way from Shelter Island. Thanks for watching!
