31st July - 1st August 2021 saw the Didcot Railway Centre host the first of a number of special events planned for 2021, which celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Great Western Railway Society.
Stars of the show included USATC S160 2-8-0, No.6046 (courtesy of the Churnet Valley Railway) - making the first time this class of loco has been seen at Didcot shed since the 1940s, and Kitson built Lambton Colliery 0-6-2T, No.29 (on loan for the summer season from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway).
Filmed on Saturday 31st July, we see the operational steam fleet on both demonstration running lines, as well as multiple turntable demonstrations, loco line ups, and wagons being propelled up the incline to the coal stage.
