I remember just a few of the original 6 arenas, the Olympia in detroit, boston gardens, the montreal forum, the maple leaf gardens, madison square garden for the rangers, but I don't remember the chicago blackhawks old arena. Again those arenas have been talked about a lot though. Now ask me where most teams played when they first joined the league I won't remember those names lol

What he says right after the "alright....so?" is "But he also gets both sides of it. “It’s a good reality now - you need to have two goalies,” he conceded. “I think that’s where it gets skewed. Like, it’s hard to find that No. 1 goalie. You get it in Nashville. You get it in Tampa. You get it in Calgary. There’s a couple of places that have them. But there’s not many. A lot of them are tandems." I shouldn't expect much from sports journalism but come on.

In terms of the Sabres downfall from last season to this one, while MOST of the blame should be put on the GM for doing little to nothing last offseason, the coaching staff does deserve their share of the blame with how the team has played on a nightly basis. Last years Sabres team would SMOKE this years Sabres team (with improved goaltending and defense) hence why there should be some changes behind the bench. Overall heading into next season, if you were to tell us Sabres fans to be excited with guys like Dahlin, Power, and Byram, having the top prospect pool in the league, and a bunch of cap space to make moves, we honestly don't care at this point because we're expecting this team no matter what to find a way to mess this all up. Thus going back all the way to Step 1 of the Rebuild once again. With playoffs, i'll believe it when i see it.

One current player/legend that I think could definitely offer a lot in terms of intelligence, especially when it comes to hockey, whether in a front office setting or broadcasting is Patty Kane. He is such a student of the game, very well spoken and intelligent, and truly loves the game. He strikes me as being a lot more like Yzerman or Sakic than Brodeur and I really hope he becomes an exec. I am excited for the current and soon to be retiring players getting involved in the business side at some point because they are a lot more understanding about the future of the game than older guys like Brodeur.

I got 26 arena names and I was disappointed in myself. I think a huge part of it is American branding. Theres a Wells Fargo or Enterprise commercial on TV every 12 seconds so they're sort of difficult to forget.

I don’t think so. Pretty sure these guys have said they like the TSN panel, which includes “O-Dog”. Like them or not the overdrive guys are decent at the sports talk show gig (I’m ambivalent on overdrive). My guess would be more something like “Leafs Morning Take”, a show with Jay Rosehill and the annoying Nick Alberga. They get some good interviews but their content is really stale and uninspiring. Rosehill played for the Leafs so aligns with the little hint Adam dropped by saying “you played for my favourite team”.
