Bosch please read! The GDE 18V-16 needs an important change in the future. The red clips that set the depth gauge move around with vibration over time. You can drill an anchor and the second one will have moved to a deeper depth unfortunately. A simple clipping mechanism that grabs the depth rail would solve the problem indefinitely. Not sure if anyone else has reported this problem, looks like a simple thing to fix though and would be a must have upgrade to the product for me, I would definitely want to buy the new version. Apart from that the extraction is immense. Thank you so much for developing a product that could literally be saving lives on site… from a 10+ year Bosch power tool user 🙂

Please could we see additional versions of the GBH18V-28DC and GBH18v-26D with the ability of quick change chucks? If you're an installer and you want drills like this, why should you have to use a third party SDS Plus adaptor with a chuck which has play, to drill holes in rotary only mode. This shouldn't be the case and I think that as a customer and pro user who needs these functions, this should be introduced to the models I have mentioned. It's great that the lighter GBH18V-26F has this, but what if you want a D handled straight body for better comfort when vertical / overhead drilling? the GBH18V-28DC would be my choice, but with the quick change chuck specification. Then you have me as a customer for that drill. I want the best out of my tools, efficiency and user comfort, I don't want different drills in a bag or case for different applications.

How Much RPM Does All SDS Plus Drills Spin

Most cordless SDS-Plus machines average about the 1000rpm range, the models discussed here are 0-500rpm for the biturbo machines, the GBH18V-26F, GBH18v-26D and GBH18V-28DC respectively are 0-980rpm, but let's not forget that speed isn't everything for SDS plus drills, it's the effective impact rate and efficiency of the bits being used.
