Thanks bro, your base coat video saved my project. I had the same issue you had. I flooded the playfield this morning and hopefully that works.

I was thinking about doing this, but after watching the cleanup at the end I am more than happy to send my field off to be done. Great video.

Nice work, man! I have a Gottlieb Jet Spin, I've been seriously considering doing this to. some of the paint is cracking, so the sanding is only what is detouring me from trying. I don't want to damage the paint when sanding.

I loved the video, thanks for sharing the technique! I have an ignorant question...the playfield looked pretty great to me after you shot the clear. Why not just run it at that point? What is achieved by sanding off the clear you just laid down and having to polish it back up?

Although it may have looked great there were still very minor imperfections that are removed with sanding. Also, sanding helps with the curing process - opens the pores in the clear.

How did the playfield stand up with balls knocking around it over the past few years like divots or cracks in the coating. Also what’s your thoughts on doing an epoxy resin instead of clear coat?

Just curious, does this help to prevent more dimples than before or do the dimples come back same as before? Rinse and repeat.

I found an automotive shop that is happy to clear coat my playfield but they asked me to confirm the type of clear coat I’d like to use. You mentioned you like ChromaClear, is there a specific make, like HC-7776S? Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm curious is it sometimes cheaper to just buy a brand-new Playfield or is it because you can't always get every Playfield or you enjoy doing this or all of they above.lol seems like a lot of work.
