She became the Norwegian Minister of Culture (Kulturminister) from 1990 to 1996, one of the periods when the Workers party (Arbeiderpartiet) was ruling the country. And she did a really great job! One of the best, if not THE best Minister of Culture we have had.

Translated lyrics: I know about an old man, a man that have lived for a long time I know about an old man, a man that have lived for a long time He is so nice when he asks what has happened to me And if the sun has burned me He speaks and seeks consolation, he rocks in his chair He says with a broken voice: "Nothing is new under the sun" But what does it matter if things have happened before me? But what does it matter if things have happened before me? No, what hurts the most about his knowledge Is that his eyes are sad What can I expect from myself there in that chair? When he is sad right now, nothing new under the sun

I like this song and she is not scary at all. Very clever and nice woman. Professional as few.

Her eyes kill me. I think she was an inspiration for black metal. But her voice is good, I like this song, makes me think of Hobbit.

Her eyes do seem a little bit scary on this vid. Today (2020) she's 71 and her look is more pleasant.
