SE SPORT 200 hydrofoil What's It Do ? on 2008 Mercury 25 EFI 4 stroke ELPT, 2020

SE Sport 200 hydrofoil mounted to a Mercury 25 hp EFI 4 stroke ELPT, 2008. Matched to an Xtreme Boats, Roughneck 162 SS aluminum boat. Stick Steering in the front. This heavy boat is better suited to a 40 hp 2 stroke so the 25 needed helped raising the rear of the boat at all speeds. This SE Sport 200 is fantastic at this as well as holding steady in turns. With stock prop, top speed 19-21mph. Tips on the clip and how I mounted it. 2020

I installed the stingray Jr but it lowered my top end speed by around 4-5 mph... was your top speed affected ? I’m considering to get the SE Sport 200.

I did not have that issue. My top speed did not go up and it did not drop more than .9 mph if any. The trim of the engine and front rear balance must be taken into consideration.

Just ordered this SE 200 to use on the exact same motor. Even a stick steer! Albeit on a 1648 grizzly. My problem is similar to yours, slightly underpowered and all weight in the rear of the boat. Alone, i plane out fine, but loaded down with duck hunting gear she just struggles. Every now and then, when the planets are all aligned, i will come up on plane. A quick question for you though, is your stick steering a bit loose? I can push my motor side to side and have even gone so far as to use a ratchet strap to keep my motor from clocking to the side during transport. If not, do you know anything you could tell me about adjusting the tension of the steering, or simply a better way to lock down the motor during transport? I suppose in the end a better style transom saver would be the easuest thing to do.

Hi, I'm not where I can look at the boat for a few months. It's in winter storage. I have an Ezy-stik II. However, from memory there is an adjustment you can make that tightens or loosens the stiff cable connection going to the motor. Go to ezyglide.com and look at setup instructions and trouble shooting guide. Give them a call or email them.

You say that kit is for any motor but it just does not fit yours, hmm your about the 20th video I’ve watched and none have had the same motor and they don’t fit. I would NEVER SUGGEST BUYING THAT KIT I am yet to see someone who has it work. Ray K UK 🇬🇧 YNWA.

I agree. The screwless adapter kit of that design does not fit my motor. To be clear obviously the screw mount worked perfectly. I think they may have different screwless adapters in 2023 but it's been a while since I checked.
