Thank you for an outstanding demonstration. It shows that a spy radio needs to be designed for concealment - three parts in this case. Storing the Morse key inside one of the modules is a good idea. I have a tiny Russian spy key that slides into a mount on the outside of the transmitter - I don't know where it was stored, but probably inside the transmitter somewhere.

I hope this year I finally have the time to learn the code. The sounds of CW is what made me fall in love with the hobby when I was a kid. Now I finally have a license and still didn't learned the code haha. Thank you for one more nice video. The equipment amazes me. 73 DE YO6DXE.

Good example of how the right antenna and its position make a significant difference. It’s not openly stated in the video, but note the antenna height is 90 feet (30m) which is one key to its effectiveness. The other two keys: the rock wall is a great signal reflector and the large body of water which the signal travels across. Excellent demonstration!

Very interesting ,great video. Though it seems the system was very cumbersome, with setup /antenna dismantle etc would have taken some time. As someone already mentioned , spy would need to clear out asap of his operating site before counter espionage team could triangulate his position.

The transmitter looks like single style of transmitter I am guessing that the receiver is regn or TRF in design. I like the smallness of the whole setup. 73's From ZL.

👍Excellent Helge. Good that this worked. I wondered why all the flags were on the cliff top. Utmerket Helge. Bra at dette fungerte. Jeg lurte på hvorfor alle flaggene var på klippetoppen.

This is outstanding. Very greatly interesting. It would be interesting to see other antenna ideas attempted with this particular station. For instance, what would performance be like if a whip antenna was used? What about other things that might be used as an antenna that are commonly in houses, such as a window screen or some other conductive material...??? Thank you for your efforts in providing such excellent information!

My transmitter is crystal controlled and is 100% stable. But my receiver is very simple with three tubes, and is not completely stable.

This is great. I am curious to know would a real spy possibly pick shorter wavelengths? I imagine too that a spy would need to clear out of his operating site before anyone can triangulate his position. Recovering the wire and getting away is part of the job.
