My sister uses Abbeygate, I use Gan Direct - not sure there is much difference although Abbeygate sound like they are being really helpful. Surely your UK bank, whether they like it or not, can't refuse to do the transfer - it's your money not theirs. Good luck. x

Yeah to be fair mate, I only looked at the nuggets being €7 which is more than the cafe types we've been going to, but I did notice that a pint was €3.20 which is cheap for the location this is. I don't think €73 for 10 drinks & 4 meals is expensive! Was a great day anyway!

Mousaka is my favourite Cypriot dish .Just in front of Stifado and Afeilia .All absolutely delicious mate 👌

What about a wise account, i transfer money to my dad every month in spain no problem, and the exchange rate is really good. All you need is your Iban number from your cyprus account to transfer to.

Hi Paul, It’s not so much that it’s Revolut, the CY bank want me to transfer the money from a bricks & mortar bank in the UK. They won’t accept a fintech type bank such as Revolut, Wise, Tide etc for the immigration deposit. I’ll have to phone my lawyer on Monday, as I’m sure the 10k has to have been in my account for an amount of time to show it’s my money and I haven’t borrowed it.
