SEA CHANGE: Levee breach at Sears Point to restore historic tidal marsh (2 min.)

On October 25, 2015, Sonoma Land Trust (Sonoma County, California) breached the levee at Sears Point to reclaim 1,000 acres of tidal marsh -- land that had been diked off from the bay for 140 years. This 12-year project has effectively redrawn the map of San Francisco Bay!
