I love this boat! I just think they need a side gate to get on/off at the dock. I think the only entrance is through the front.

You are right, but the sides are pretty easy to climb over.

They told me I was literally order #1 for the switch pontoon boats. My kids are really upset as with all the fees, etc. the price of the boat is over $45k for the 18ft version. The MSRP is $30,900 so with their markup I cant afford the darn thing.

@@dieseltoys sorry to hear that. Unfortunately there are a lot of dealers have order contracts that leave an open price until the build. I just ordered a 22 foot Axopar, but wouldn’t put my deposit down until a fixed price was agreed for the same reason. I have heard horror stories of large price changes at time of delivery on some boats. I know Sea Doo have sold more boats than they can build.

To people interested in these boats, I put a deposit down on one of these boats when they were announced way back last summer. I go to sign the paperwork and take delivery and my dealer is marking it up $7k when I go to purchase it.

How are the seats? I wouldn't expect a super comfortable but is it decent?

Yes pretty good. The seats are all modular. You can change the layout in minutes and add storage etc. Like a big Lego set

I can't see anyone over 40 jumping over a sidewall to get on-board without hurting one self.

There’s good boarding fore and aft on overhangs with gates. The cockpit is designed like a Lego set where floors and seating unclips and can be moved around to create multiple layouts. Think a playpen on the water then it makes sense. I agree a side boarding door would be ideal however.

@@thebritishboatguy3130 In America most all boat ramps don't have docks fore or aft only on the side, so what good it a door on the front or back of a boat ,and should you pull the boat into shallow water at the ramp to board the vessel you will damage the potoons on the concrete. I've been a boater more than 50 years so don't try and fool folks.

@@williamgleaton2992 agreed, I live here, Florida and the Great Lakes boating 12 months a year. On everything from pontoon boats to motor yachts. . I neither built the boat, sell the boat or own the boat in this video. Your assumptions are you own. I certainly didn’t fool you. Not sure the reason for a derisory comment. I am sure the over 1000 plus people that have ordered these aren’t fuming with anger every time they simply step off the dock onto the very stable front overhang or onto the wide platform aft without an outboard to straddle. I’ve been stepping off docks onto bathing platforms for decades. No side doors on any of the boats I have owned, never fell in or felt uncomfortable doing so. However side access would be a good idea as you mentioned. Particularly with small children

@@williamgleaton2992 step on the front of the trailer and step on board via the low fore peak. It’s pretty much a pontoon boat with a flat front not a deep vee. It’s shallow draft and a jet drive so the bow can be high and dry. Other than that. thank you for watching the video.

I don’t think there is a pontoon boat under 25 feet on the market under 25 feet with a head. You don’t have the height in the hulls or superstructure.
