European Open 2024 Hello everyone I've had a fair few people asking If I was fishing the euro,s where would I fish that's a great question firstly the tide size makes a massive difference on the Holderness Coast next is the match times which seem fishing most of the ebb tide again choosing the venue that could probably produce then there is the wind before and on the match and the time of year so as you see there are a lot of factors involved. So I personally would start breaking these factors down to a couple of venues the first place is my angling dairys which I've recorded every single fishing session since 1980 that's wind, tides, conditions fish caught this would be my starting point. This would definitely reduce the venues down with all the above I've mentioned. The first place would be Spurn Road as this place leads to be one of the best ebb beaches on the Holderness Coast and especially with a small tide the only thing here is the wind which can bring the weed on but it can drop off at certain time and the fish would not be far away. The rule of thumb on the Holderness Coast is on smaller tides you want to be south of Withernsea down to Spurn and these venues will produce on the ebb tide places like Withernsea, Poo Pipe, Runnels, Holmpton, Dimlington and Easington and Kilnsea. There are places further north like Aldbrough which can be good at this time of year and best on smaller tides places like East Newton and Ringbrough are very hard to gain access these days unless you are in the know and get permission. I would definitely keep one eye on the wind running up to the event its very important . Good luck to everyone who's fishing the match and tight lines 🎣👍

Hello Gary 👋 It's great to hear from you thank you so much for watching and your comment buddy. Yes mate the weed did spoil the day in the end but I did expect it there was loads on the beach as I got down I've fished Dimlington a lot over the years and cutting the leader off is the quickest way the other way is to have 2 rods set up and only fish one at a time or I should have taken my Braid 79lb straight though and just cut where the clips is to my rig no leader ro review all the time again thank you buddy and tight lines from all at the Levo's Crew 🎣 👍

Hello Dave 👋 It always a pleasure to hear from you and thank you for watching and kind comment buddy. Yes Dave we just don't know what's going to happen on the day we pick to go fishing lots of different things can go against us ie the weed, lack of fish, the tidal run the time of year ect it can be very challenging at times but if it was easy we wouldn't come back again and again don't you just fishing. You take care buddy look forward to your next outing tight lines from all at the Levo's Crew 🎣 👍

Hello Chris 👋 Thank you so much for taking the time to watching and your kind comment buddy. I used Tapered leaders myself when I am using my continental rod for Flounders they are really smooth for casting as it make a very small Leader knot. It's the only problem fishing this end of the coastline is the it can be bad on some days sometimes it can come on then die off or the come on really strong. Again thank you buddy from all at the Levo's Crew 🎣 👍 tight lines

@@LevosAnglingAdventures Hi. And thanks for your response. Just to quality - I’m talking about using a full tapered mono. They come in 220m lengths. So the thicker casting section is built in. Hence no knot what so ever. Great idea. Will let you know how they go! All the best. 🐳👍

@LevosAnglingAdventures10 ай бұрын
Hello buddy 👋 It wouldn't let me copy it So regarding your question about the ebb venue the best one on the Holderness Coast is Spurn Road especially on smaller tides unfortunately no car access anymore it a long walk or bike or electric bikes theses days but it's worth the effort especially at this time of year its probably the no one venue but it all depends on the weather and the most important the wind as it can be a very weedy venue. Most of the Holderness can fish on the ebb tide for a few hrs depending on condition if its rough you are only going to get a couple of hrs then the fish will drop back into deeper water. If you are fishing the match which as small tides and fishing ebb as a rule of thumb on the Holderness fish is best from Withernsea down to Spurn Road Hope this helps Andy and tight lines from all at the Levo's Crew 🎣 👍
