I’ve noticed a massive drop of flat’s in the estuary’s in the past 20yrs. It’s almost like they’ve stopped breeding. There’s been some thoughts that it’s been down to high oestrogen from the sewage clean outfall is to blame.

My best mate had a huge flounder from that mark, just under 4lb but it was 8 years ago! Pity they get used as pot bait by the crabbers,

Biggest flounder from the kinsbridge estuary was 3lb 2 ounces that was 2 years ago haven’t had a big one over 2lb 5 since then

Great video,you seem to be suffering the same lack of flounders as we have experienced around the south coast,(Isle of Wight for me), for the past 6-7 years.The whole range of sizes have vanished,nobody has come up with any proper explanation,another previously common species gone.

Hi guys don't know if it was the same for you but I fish out of Christchurch harbour and this year was the worst bass year I have known. Also it was the worst for that light green seaweed I call lettuce .the whole harbour was covered about six inches deep .this rotted down stinking of sulphur .maybe you have had the same

sandeels been so short this year iagree then i see people trying to sell 1kg bags of sandeel that look so bad and unusable
