Just done inland stuff with my kayak but love the thought of doing the trips you do... Thanks for the inspiration!

@slug Mctut. Dry suits, gussets, which is best , latex .or Neoprene. for long life and comfort. Ty.

It's very much horses for courses. As I diver, I much prefer latex neck/wrist seals as I find they keep the water out better, but for kayaking, probably neoprene because they're still more comfortable and relatively effective at keeping the water out, but you won't be submerged for long, where latex seals would be better. As for the most long lasting, you can easily get latex seals replaced - it's normally the zip the kills a drysuit - but I'm not sure how easy it is to replace neoprere seals. So, for comfort, neoprene - I have a dry top with neoprene seals for rivers and inland waters - but for keeping the water out, latex it better, but probably not essential for kayaking. All this is just my opinion though.
