Sea kayaking through Canada's Pacific Northwest

This time Helaine and I are spending 3 days, exploring Canada's Gulf Islands by sea kayak. We stay at gorgeous campgrounds on a small island, see sand caves and lots of seals.
This camping adventure can be done easily from Vancouver, just by public transport. We took the ferry from Vancouver and rented kayaks at Galiano Island. From there we kayaked to Wallace Island, which has three campgrounds. Using it as our base, we also visited Thetis and Saltspring Island.

Before 9-11 I often visited the Canadian Tropics. Where cactus grows just like Texas. My favorite camp was a Province Park known as Cabbage Island. :Short but not too big around; like old stogies I have found...' KING OF THE ROAD.

Thanks! It’s a plug-in for After Effects called GeoLayers 3. Unfortunately, it’s a bit pricy. Another great option is Google Earth Studio. You just need to sign up for it (usually takes around 24h to get full access).

I went to Salt Spring to assist exploration of a cave that some Canadian's found. Beached my boat and joined the speleological team. Sketching ; my cartography forte in 2006. Also assisted bolting an underground dome up 20 meters of vertical.
