Looking good! I know you're still early in the project, but I'd love to see things be more "alive" with the ship. Having had the honor of sailing on a few different wooden vessels, I can tell you they moan and groan, creak, clank and clack. They take on a life of their own out on the waves, becoming living, breathing things... and then you dock up, and they become silent and still, like sleeping giants. The best sleep I've ever had in my life was belowdecks, listening to the waves slap the hull, and the ship gently groaning and creaking.

@@sealegendsgame Please make the game allow for you to make your own custom factions with custom flags. Atleast if your a pirate. I never liked how naval action didnt let you do that. Pirate factions should not be so overly powerfull.

OMG - this gameplay is fantastic. As a fan of this era and a sailor myself I'm loving it. My comment is: flags at the top of the mast would be flapping like crazy (not lazily) in this wind, some of the sheets look very tight - especially for a Broad Reach. The battle is also taking place at extreme range - the ships would usually be a lot closer to each other for cannons to be effective. Don't forget the sharpshooters! BUT - I'M ABSOLUTELY LOVING IT!

Looks...interesting. I've played 2000 hours of naval action and what i hated most about it was the multiplayer and how rude people were in those clans. Still, the naval combat was an absolute blast and that kept me going for years. Glad it's single player and i'm also glad it retains the same degree of complexity. If i can make a suggestion, please add some 17th century ships (which were still common up to the 1730s). Those are way more beautiful than these flat ships of the line (we wont be fighting in lines anyway). Sure not a Carrack, but maybe a spanish galleon or a Fluyt.

A solo alternative game to naval action, very interesting and seems like more "life onboard" with animations, I like it, wishlist open. Make it like an Uboat with onboard management, inventory, food, real time navigation. Make sailors life animation, make first person moving inside the ship and that can be a very great game. Like Uboat.

Looks fantastic so far man! There is a market out there for this even it is niche so please dont give up! My only question/suggestion is to make the interior of the ships accessible, being able to explore very nook and cranny of your ship and chill out down in your cabin while your underway adds a very cozy feel to the game and something i feel tends to be overlookedm

The audio is outstanding! I am super impressed with the immersive quality of this. The cannons firing put a massive smile on my face. The audio production will play a huge role in how this game feels to play, and I'm stoked with how it's coming along! The only "issues" I've seen are highlighted in the description so no need to reiterate. There's a 100% chance I am pre-ordering this whenever it's available... soon...? :)

POTENTIAL! i would love to habe a good naval action game, this could be the one! i love the boatswain's whistle, the commands repeating from crew are also great, for me as a "sailor" i really love that you can choose any sail/rig to set/trim whatever. of course there are some visuals and effects missing but seeing this as a "wireframe/blueprint"(it is yet more than that) just gives a very good feeling. i would love to see this upcoming as a game. i think it could also fit in a perfect niche the "big" game publishers cant fit in. they tried but failed. you try and you (hopefully) succeed! i am sure. please please keep up

Love the cannon shot effects (I think that's the right word). Only thing that would make this more cool is firing on the Nautilus like at the very beginning of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea as it bears down on you. Could be a cool Easter Egg sorta thing.

This looks fantastic. I'm so up for getting behind this. I'm not a game developer myself so I don't know what would be too much to ask...but the only suggestions that spring to mind are: Better particles? Character models? Weather systems? Other natural sounds such as rattling ropes/chains/environmental sounds from the ship? Decorated/furnitured/detailed cabin quarters/deck/below deck? Otherwise this look insane and I can't wait to see how this pans out!

I'm excited. Especially how you toggle the sails individually and that the cannons are loaded by the crew. Awesome! Only thing that puts me out is that I can count the polygons and nothing is moving in the wind.

Solid work. Looking forward to your progress. The only input I can think of is maybe mistime the individual crews animations. When prepping having them all begin and end at different speeds would make it look more natural than the identical animation they currently have.

Amazing, two small things I'd improve before release is the lack of splashes fron the cannon balls and maybe randomize the start of animations so the crew reload the cannons at different rates, at least visually so they don't look like robots, but this game is a definite buy for me.

the Bosuns call seems to be the same (locken) again and again. i think it would be a great addition if the calls actually reflected what they where used for (directing the crew) also as for the commands: you might want include the "propper" command struckture (instead of "dowse the sail" it could be something like: "prepare to dowse the main´sl, sailtrimmers to the stations, let fly tacks and sheets, clewline haul") same thing with the guns... if they are being reloaded before the first engagement.... that breaks the immersion! phrases like "run out" or "make ready starboard battery" would give the impression of being "inside" a well greased machine where about 1000 things are happening at the same time (and of course it would be great to have more hands animated, but i assume that would get resource heavy very quick) also i think i heard a "right side: fire!" please make that "starboard battery" i´d love to get in on the early access... is that still possible or am i to late for that?

Looks quite good, I haven't sailed for some time now but this definitely puts the game on my radar and thus wishlist on steam. Voice acting thus far is great, further developments into that area could really sell the atmosphere of sailing and fighting, while a costly endeavour I'm aware- it's one of the most important pieces of feedback I could give. You have a wonderful graphical design, backing it up with a good soundscape is crucial. To that end, consider purchasing licenses to renditions of sea shanties and such, one of the many reasons AC:IV Black Flag is such a beloved game is that whether it's in the heat of combat or sailing the open sea you always have your crew with you, be it singing or shouting. Make as many settings sliders as possible, people have varying tastes and while flat adjustments to the soundscape are excellent at creating a baseline, being able to modify specific parts of it on the fly can keep people sailing. Recommendations would include ship ambience, crew ambience, wind ambience, music/shanties and UI elements. We didn't really hear it in this video, but it'd be great to listen to how wood cracks under fire from enemy cannon; this as well as how we can hear the impacts of our shots from closer distances (as an example, while just before boarding). Great work so far, well wishes on your endeavours.

I like to see that the AI Enemy is not a sniper like in NA - just one observation none of the lines/ropes move, makes the deck look very static would be nice to see some physics there (not an easy task im sure) but would add alot to even see some swing/sway - other than that im loving how its looking so far! It looks awesome, can I make a suggestion and I do not even know if it is possible. Have individual gun crews have stats that effect accuracy, speed of reload and such. That way the crews are not all synchronized together in the reloading animations. I know it is real minor but it really helps with immersion. Lastly please let this be in VR, it would be freaking awesome.

This looks very impressive. It would be very cool if you made this into an EVE-like sailing simulator. Start off with a small fishing boat, catching fish and selling it back in port. Then maybe buy a carrack or something to trade in goods. Defend yourself from pirates, avoid them, or maybe join them. Or join one of the factions that control ports and sail with the rest of the fleet commanding a ship of the line, attacking other ports and gaining territory. I also really hope you will have the entire world at 1:1 scale. I can only imagine how cool it will be to sail across the Atlantic after several real life days of struggling with supplies and weather.
