Notice that I've never written a single line about Kasumi? Because I can't be bothered and everyone knows about what a pain in the ass this old boss is. I stand firm that Lantern is much harder to score (given the volatility) than Thelema in chasing caps.

Even with Lantern this boss is still painful. I swear Kasumi is literally easy to beat but hard to cap. I remember malding to retain RL because the score difference is so tight, like my score was 7xx but my competitor was 7xx+1, 7xx-1, 7xx+3 etc, the top one was 7xx+9. Also no SSS in SEA? Wow...

To be honest, like FoV, SSS Lantern doesn't really offer much. Just more damage boost. Good move for not fully investing on her (for FoV's case he actually got 4 FoV copies in the last one 10 pull, originally he doesn't want to get FoV to SSS). Coverage is also smaller than Sena and Thelema, and her content are still brute force-able with old Valks. Also Valk Songque is just a better investment to be honest. And the fact you're still top in SEA Nirvana without SSS Lantern is just shows that it's not really necessary (although SSS Thelema is also cracked so it's probably Thelema that can make this happen).

​@@theunknowman12 he didn't do this to FoV or Sirin to be honest. Sirin is farmable and he got really lucky with that 4 copies in the last 10 pull. His Thelema gacha was also horrendous. SSS Lantern is also not that good, just a slight damage boost, and to be honest for this run the ones carrying this one is Thelema.

⁠​⁠@@iiikirishimaiii1882if any other character gets slight dmg boost at SSS Then maybe, JUST maybe. They reached full potential at SS already. Case in point: FoV and Lantern And lantern becomes important for Songque since she has physical support capabilities in astral ring.

​@@Tylysia Sena and Coralie also has Physical Support buffs for Astral Ring, Thelema also have Total Damage boost and also Shieldbreak buffs for Astral Ring. Lantern's buff is better because of CRIT buffs but that doesn't mean without Lantern Songque Valk is bad since Sena, Thelema, and Coralie can still be used to support Lantern. And yes, there are some Valks that have their full potential unlocked in just SS, as the other buffs beyond that are just damage buffs, SW, HC, HoTr, AE, FoV, LDS, DiP are already powerful enough at SS, the rest after that are just Damage Buffs.

Look at those people assuming things in the comments when a characters has its potential full at SS and not SSS (like Garuda). Like I don't remember you being obligated to SSS each valk to be the top 1 player haha. If anything it's better to see that now lower ranks give as much than max rank. Less money to spend

True, I was a part of Beta and I tested SS and SSS, score is not that far off. And on MA the difference is nonexistent. Type Kasumi is also a super RNG boss. I guess Hoyo learned their mistake with Hare, because for her case SSS had a huge powerspike. Aka-nii also still max refine the weapon, which is basically the source of the complain from most players.

​@shinhikar don't see the issue tho'. Way friendlier and cheaper Gacha, ofc there would be a little something more to make banks. Not that sync+ would make you a better player though. Can't deny how sync is strong for Thelema and Lantern but sync 1 only doesn't stop me from being at high Top 50 Myriad haha

​@@Zebra782many JP players don't even complete most Valks to SSS and they kept holding top 10 in Myriad Abyss despite having higher disturbance than SEA and GLB. They only SSS certain Valks that are required to SSS like Hare, Luna, and HoFi, the rest are just SS3 to SS0. Some are even in S2.

Brother, even you now are not maxing out the back to back S ranks. People are salty because others are reasonably critiquing the game for these brutal patch pulls, but now the signs are showing with so many KZbinrs and people coming out. So many “fans” need to stop riding Mihoyo so much and understand it is okay to confront bad game decisions.

i wont say bad but rather questionable. because at the end they're still overall giving alot, just what the fuck, they're not giving us a break. overall its way better than some gachas are (trust me hoyo's one of the lenient one) but i'd still like it for a break overall. they're raising the floor and make it slightly more accessible, and in turn they also raised the ceiling. in the end its up to the people who wants to play or not. also aka nii's situation is different. he's still playing the game, but he's MOVING ON from the game (i think he saod this during thelema gacha stream). he just wants to use his money somewhere else rather than in honkai only. the most he's spending are monthly bundles and around 15-20k crystals and thats it. also he didnt even get to finish spending since he got lucky during lantern with under 50 SS and around 50 pulls S3 weapon.

@@ch.7785 Yeah this is fair. Omg, it is so rare to see someone in this community who can actually maturely make a point. I do agree that Hoyo is MUCH better than other games in this franchise studio with its gacha. I hope that this s rank streak is just to set up the new power level foundation for part 2, which makes sense with what they are doing and that they put out more utility/break patches. Cus it would make no sense for them to put out 4 full on s rank leads for all the element groups that can independently support each other and then immediately power creep it with stronger versions. It is logical that they would do better side supports after introducing the new baseline elemental s ranks.

@@ch.7785 Also it would just be nice to actually KNOW if we will get breaks, because morale has been down when people push the narrative that s ranks will continue for each patch now when it’s not confirmed. Knowing there is light at the end of the tunnel would be nice for the future enjoyment of the game by everyone.

SSS Lantern doesn't bring anything interesting to the table except more dmg. Pulling 3 S-Rank full gear in a row in Part 2 costs less than pulling 1 S rank full gear + SP full gear. The day people know how to actually manage their crystals and do actual maths, the internet will be a bit more tolerable. For your information. It's 100 + 200 for S rank full gear & 120 for SP = 420 pulls for 2 units in part 1. SP aren't a break, it's still 120 pulls max = 33600 crystals. + off rates on banners. Part 2 is 90 pulls (or 85 with those 50% off) + 60 = 150 per patch which is only 450 pulls for a full all around team capable of covering everything vs at least 720 pulls for a one specific element in part 1. Criticizing is fine but thinking is better. Even HSR Gacha isn't nearly enough as friendly as it is on Hi3rd now. You can even craft the stigmata on each release and get 1 free stigmata by choice each patch. No 50/50, no off-rates. What more do you want smh. I have spent so little on Part 2 it's laughable how hard it was to get everything in Part 1 without luck. Now I can secure every Valkyrie by just paying full BP and Monthly, even full f2p only need a little bit of luck to drop early, at the end of the day it's a Gacha and you can't get everything without a little bit of money

Might be a bad take but as a newcomer. I'm still okay with the continuous S rank release. Hoyo obviously did this so that new players and returnees could catch up to the meta. Whether it's bad decision or not, or if it'll really become a trend, I believe we will know once 7.7 comes. By 7.6, newcomers and returnees that started by 7.3 or 7.4 are expected to have Valkyries that will cover the basic teams (ice, fire, lightning, physical). Part 2 teams only need at least 5 Valkyries to have these 4 teams, unlike Part 1 that needs at least 10
