Ahhh My shrimp are on KZbin!! 100% facts, though. I don't believe I considered myself a true breeder until I started taking it seriously and line breeding with select adults. Before I would produce so many shrimp, and it would look cool in videos, but once I started working on the quality, I was truly able to produce some stunning specimens.

i find it funny how big emphasis there is put between the quantity&quality, like wedge driven between the two like politics left and right. while i find it ideal to have best of both. breeding masses often produces few peak quality ones or completelly new ones, which then is seperated for the control batches for higher quality ones. and which then are seperated for further controll batches.

@@syrenet I know right! First thing is you need to know how to breed them in the first place then you can be selective breed if that's what you prefer. Some aquarium hobbyist just wanted some shrimps in their mix community tank. The shrimps are just part of their aquarium ecosystem and not the sole main focus. Selective breeding can command a higher price and keeping it that way. I hope Im wrong but my gut feeling is this is the hidden agenda in pushing everyone to selective breed. I myself do selective breeding as well for my own interest dont get me wrong. I just want everyone even little kids to be able to enjoy shrimp keeping. Not everyone can afford hundreds of dollar shrimps but they do deserve the shrimp keeping enjoyment.
